MAX | Out Now |

Was glad to see my living room tv randomly updated and now has the hbomax app. Only my bedroom tv had the app

Need to use this thing more I stopped after I first got it last year

Yup, I have Max through Prime. Epix too. I preferred it that way because I could watch a lot of HBO stuff using Prime rather than the Max app.

They hurting the pockets of whatever directors and actors get a percentage of box office earnings.

Not sure what you mean. Movies are coming out and making money.
Warner Bros are still doing the HBOMax releases instead of saying Theaters only like Disney. Gives us the choice of staying home or going.

Directors and actors have been pissed about this and earlier on in the pandemic was trying to negotiate with Warner Bros but they didn’t budge. People are still coming out about this model and it’s the simulcast or nothing so far.

Has any WB movie been only theaters this year?

While I love the hbo model..

I don’t get it for them.. I could see if they pulled a disney and allowed early access by paying a fee.. but just giving it away, I don’t get

but I do appreciate

Boost HBO Max subscriptions. The app is still young.

Pretty sure I read they are going back to the traditional model next year

I was referring to you saying, nobody get paid. Movies are going box office only and making money.

And their decision was to grow HBO Max's subscribers, it had nothing to do for their concern for the public.

Honestly, i signed up when they debuted Raised by Wolves. I’ve binged Game of Thrones, the Wire, True Detective Season 3, Warrior and the Watchmen. I still want to watch Sopranos and the Larry David joint + Rick and Marty Season five. So the movies have been cherry on top.

To be honest, some of those movies I’ve only watched because it was free so why not check it out

but in normal circumstance, they probably saved me some money on certain movies

WB is doing the HBO Max thing for this year. Which they announced early this year when they weren't sure if covid would let up at all.

They did it to boost their streaming service but they are kicking themselves for the amount of directors and actors who now don't want to work with them if their movies go straight to streaming. As well as cuz other studios are actually seeing some success in the box office now (Disney/Marvel). Other studios are also just risking it hoping it'll work out (Sony).

Felt like the Suicide Squad and Judas and Black Messiah were the only worthwhile movies. They could’ve put Godzilla, the Denzel Joint, MK, etc in theaters and I’d have waited lol.

Started Kung Fu and I'm not sure who this is for. Young girls who are into the YA genre but also like Kung Fu? I'm gon watch it though.

Actually I might not. This is feeling very CW.
