MAX | Out Now |

Yeah s2 was good. I was worried they might lose it story wise but it was modern and realistic and pretty detailed for that specific type of black guy that I enjoyed.

I dug it but I liked how s1 you really didn't know who Anna's character was going to end up with until the last few eps. Marcus had episodes dedicated to some randos and rebounds

S2 I pretty much knew Jessica Williams was the one once his marriage was over.

I assume s3 will probably be a female again. Hopefully she's bi :pimp:

Just started S2 of Love Life, had me dying when Amare showed up, **** like that can hurt your soul.

Also because i'm background watching, I might've missed it, question:

But S1 she ends up with the bridgerton looking cat or nah?

Yeah she did.

I thought King Richard was great. Serena and Venus one of the best stories ever told even though this was really bout Richard. Will sounded kinda "yessuh" ish at times, but no big deal. I kinda wish they had subverted some of the biography film tropes and treated it as an isolated story but it is what it is.

Looking forward to watching this after work while I stuff my face and pass out mid movie

I need to watch it over this holiday. I was listening to Bomani Jones and he said Smith took the skeleton of the Richard Williams character vice talk accurately like the real once, which would have made it racially caricature like. The movie seems targeted to everyone so some liberties were taken.

Southside is great!

As a person who lives in a neighborhood in Southside Chi, I will say I am not too sure how correctly they reflect it, still funny tho

Just watched King Richard. Definitely agree it’s one of the best WB movies placed on the HBO Max platform this year.

Will Smith and Punisher killed it. It’s like even the movie didn’t want to believe in Richard’s vision. But at the end, it came to pass. Definitely a nice feel good story.

As much as I love Black Panther, I actually prefer that is an actual positive example to Black Children rooted in reality.

I wasn’t a fan of the soundtrack. Could of used more Soul, R&B, pop and hip hop from that era.

And the movie lightly touched on racism, the inner struggle, etc.

That kitchen scene with Will and the mom was definitely deep and emotionally touching.

It’s too bad this isn’t getting more promo.

These movies serve the same purpose approached in different ways.

Both are needed.

White kids get various types and it's never either/or.

Hadn't heard of South Side prior to Chance posting clips from the episodes he was in; immediately ran through both seasons in 2 days and I'm a fan :lol

Zenobia and Shaw/Bluto never disappoint.
