modern men haircuts..

from other stuff i've read it says that taper and fade are sometimes interchangeable, but it looks like a fade is just a shorter taper?

Basically.

With tapers you have defined lines. It just allows people to have longer hair without looking all disheveled.

With fades it literally descends to nothing/almost nothing.

I switched to the combover last summer.

Trying to think of something new for this summer and not so popular, yet still kinda stylish.

ideas?

What would I ask for if I wanted the sides cut exactly like this?

a fade? taper?

Been growing out my hair for the past three months and it's growing at a very fast pace. I am trying to grow out a full bun. What I fear is that my hair will grow out as a big Afro because I have curly hair, but not super curly. If that does happen, could I just go to a stylist and they could fix me up? Or are there any products you guys recommend?

Use murray's pomade. That stuff is like grease. I think it's difficult to wash out too unless there's a water-based one now.

Thinking of getting this.

Only problem I have is that I'm a high school teacher and don't know how a "modern" hair cut would play at work.

Thoughts on professionalism and a more edgy haircut? I've never seem anyone in my area with any of these cuts in this thread.

Bruh that cut isn't loud at all. If you're young it's cool to go to work like that. Just do it

It'll look better than the teachers who are going bald and rock the george costanza haircut. That's like the opposite of that cut.

Scheduled an appointment for tomorrow to get it done. Don't know why I even hesitated.

I hesitated walking in the office at first but now it's whatever. Feel free to sport whatever haircut you like, it's your head

I was browsing YouTube and saw this:

:hat

I'd like hair like that. What do I tell my mom to get a cut like that.

Lol I was rocking that cut for the last 2 months.
Now I'm letting the top grow out.

Does anyone know if Vegas that has a salon like that? Tired of going to Barbers that only how to do fades

I guess there's pros and cons like everything else. Barbers fade better, salons style better. The fade and blending in that vid was kinda sloppy imo.

I find it odd, everyone looks the same now. Not hating just an observation. What's not played out now a days? But still.

Not everyone, just the people who like trendy haircuts. For something to be trendy it has to reach a certain level of popularity anyway. Most of my friends have been rocking the same short haircuts since high school.
