yo, if you work for wall street or youre a finance major, just stay free of this thread

excersize your right to a capitalist NT board and use your ability to make a choice on the free market to go to another thread.

im asking you to comment on the film.

if you havent seen it, beat it.

Why?

Thats a very insecure stance.

So you want people to comment on the film, but not it's subject matter?
??

lol, dude released a memo from citibank where they refer to a way to take over the world. how the top 1 percent owns more wealth than the bottom 95 percent put together...

the only reason it works is because people think they will one day be in the top 1% if they work hard enough

and they said, in the memo, the only way this plan won't work....is if people revolt....

because in democracy, one vote is one vote....and they outnumber us....

this was literally in a memo that was printed and distributed.

walmart called the employees they took life insurance out for....dead peasants.....

lol

but thats not cause they're capitalist.....just because they're heartless...

has nothing to do with capitalism....lol

Which is the exact reason why it makes no sense to include things like that in a movie critiquing capitalism.

i asked "have you seen this? comments?"

and i got dudes coming in "i havent seen it, but dont drink the kool-aid"

and "what do you know about capitalism?"

and "read these economists"

that's not what im asking for...im asking for comments on the film from people who saw the film

had i wanted to start an economic discussion, it woulda said "hey, NT finance majors, school me on the mircale of capitalism" or "Hey, NT economists, reccomend me some economists to read about" or "hey, NT, school me on Capitalism"

did i do that?

did i do that?

no.

i said "hey, i saw this mike moore movie, i loved it. what'd you guys think about it?"

Let's take the other extreme: Socialism or better still, Communism.

Do you think they were all kittens and sunshine?

a.) that was EXTREME sarcasm

b.) the movie actually makes a connection and suggests that it's capitalism, in it's nature, that's heartless.......

maybe if you had watched the movie, we could, you know, discuss the actual movie....

not the +$** you read in school to get a finance degree....

thanks, tho

A discussion about any documentary will invariably lead to a discussion about its subject matter, especially a director as polarizing as Michael Moore...

Capitalism, FYI is the only moral system we have.

Prior to capitalism, how did people get rich? They had to kill and pillage for king, country or church. Capitalism came along and enabled common folk to improve their lot in life by serving their fellow men and women.

Now, in the interest of full disclosure: I am working for a boutique firm, whilst finishing my graduate degree. Our firm, however, does not trade for itself or its clients.

okay, and we never had a discussion of the movie.....just defense of precious capitalism

just finance _____ who prolly havent even graduated yet, masturbating to capitalism through text

asking me to define it like their nice professor did in school...

good luck trynna get in that 1%, bro bro

Funny enough, enphan, my prof's would probably side with you, as would most mainstream economists.

But you're immaturity and insecurity is appalling. Is this how you conduct yourself when things don't go your way IRL?

I dont believe this is 100% true. What about the barter system?
