A few coworkers were sharing some of their memorable experiences.  I'm a Wizards/******** fan so a W pretty much meets the criteria

-In 10th grade I saw MJ play.  Although he was on the Wiz it was still kind of unreal.  I wasnt that into sports back then but as a typical NTer I was

-When the Wiz beat OKC and LA the arena went INSANE.  Sitting in a sea of yellow and purple, everyone screaming Kobe please save us, then the walk of shame of the LA fans... Priceless

it's sad that I remember everytime A.I. Kobe, or Bron have dropped maddddd buckets against our team when I've gone to the games.

Most memorable game was once when indiana came to town and Jermaine oneal was injured so he was just in plain clothes dappin up all his ex blazer pals. I got lost in the arena and was walking down a flight of stairs towards the parking area or something. Oneal was just chillin walking down the stairs right next to me with my best friend. He was a superstar then, and i was like in middle school or something so I was pretty hyped. I laugh about it looking back

Last year knicks vs heat, there were more knicks fan than heat fans in the AA arena , everytime lebron shot free throws you could hear the loudass boos. And Amare blocking Lebron on the last possession so save the game

Without question game 5 of the 05 NLCS. So surreal how Pujols made 45,000 dead silent. Even when the Astros came up in the bottom of the 9th the crowd was on hush.

Always found it ironic how one of the most memorable yet infamous moments in Astros history came in a series they won.
 
2008 Ryder Cup... JB Holmes's approach on 17 created a buzz unlike anything I've ever felt.
 
-A regular season game between the Knicks and Bulls, Jordan had 51, I had to leave early because I was sick
-Cubs/Braves 2003 Game 2
-Bulls/Pacers Game 5 last year
-I went to a Bulls/Hawks game last year... for some reason I can't remember which one it was.
-A Clippers/Bucks regular season game. The game meant absolutely nothing, but my friend knew the Clippers coach so we got to go in the locker rooms and eat the catered food.
 
-Nets / Heat in the playofs when VC hit the buzzer beater to send it to OT
-VC's buzzer beater vs the Hawks
-Pierce's buzzer beater vs the Nets

Seeing shots like that to end the game never gets old... So much energy in the building.

Also seeing my favorite players growing up in person was always cool.
 
I haven't really been to too many important sporting events..... but I went to the Clips/Mavs game when Billups hit the GW, that was really cool.
 
1996 NFC Championship- Packers vs. Cowboys

2011- Rose Bowl- TCU vs. Wisconsin

2010 Fiesta Bowl- TCU vs. Boise State

Game 4 2011 NBA Finals- Mavs vs Heat

Went to the dunk contest when it was in Dallas, but it was pretty lame.
 
I was at the Kentucky-Duke game where Christian Laettner hit the last second shot at the Spectrum in Philly
 
1998 Giants @ Cubs one game playoff for Wild Card...Kerry Wood vs. Oral Hirshiser. at the time, that was the Cubs first postseason birth since 1989.

2003 MLB All-Star game...had nose bleeds but tix were $500 a pop...remember seeing Bonds facing Clemens...thought it was amazing at the time

Armed Forces Day at a Chargers preseason game (i know i know). It was just so cool standing on the field, holding up the flag with the entire stadium cheering for us.
 
Being at Primanti Brothers in Downtown Pittsburgh, while the Steelers were playing the Cardinals in the superbowl...and the Riot that ended up at Heinz Field after they won

2007 NBA FINALS GAME 3 & 4.

ECF:

Sat next to GREG !*+%#%@ ODEN and his agent.. It was unreal. Got an auto.

Sat by the booth too(TNT).

FINALS:

Game 3 (and I swear you all I'm not lying) Larry Bird, Dr. j. Dominique Wilkins) all sat RIGHT in front of me. It was surreal and I was shocked ... I was only 16 though which was a bit lame because I'd love to see them and talk to them again.

I was at a lot of those games that year; my mom's fiance at the time was doing work for the Spectrum 
It didn't really hit me til later in life what I witnessed; at the time I thought the 92 NHL All Star game was the coolest thing
 
MJ's last game in Oakland, ever.
Beaubois dropping 40 as a rookie, yes that's how few games I've been to.

Winnipeg Jets home opener last fall

Most of you probably don't care about hockey but it was a big deal around here getting a team back so it was an awesome game to go to

I was at the Clippers game when Blake baptized Mozgov

I was at the Clippers game when Blake baptized Perkins

And I was also at the Clippers game when Blake baptized Pau Gasol...twice.
 
Man.....TONS of crazy sporting events...

...one of the most memorable was the 07 Home Run Derby in San Francisco, when Vlad won.

...watched Lebron hit the Buzzer beater to win the game against Golden State Warriors in Oakland....when a bunch of Oakland dudes wanted to fight me and security had to escort me out
