The show has also added new recurring guest stars with rapper Joey Bad***** and actor Chris Conroy who will portray new characters. Joey Bad***** will make his TV debut, playing Leon, a new close friend of Elliot (Rami Malek) from the neighborhood who often talks excessively to Elliot, advising him and philosophizing the meanings of life. Conroy will play Derek, a young, attractive new man in Joanna’s (Corneliussen) life.

Curious as to how he got the job. Crazy opportunity he was given. Reminds me of Cudi on HTMIIA. Sounds like that character fits Joey too.

‘Mr. Robot’ Adds Craig Robinson as Recurring Guest Star

According to Variety, he will play Ray, “a neighborhood local who reaches out to Elliot in his time of need.”

“In Season 2, there will be a lot more backstory that will be shown,” explained creator Sam Esmail, who will direct all 10 episodes of the USA drama’s second season. “And the timeline will get a little clearer. Not a hundred percent clearer, but a little clearer.”

Also dope to see more black characters. Love this show. Can't wait 'til next season.
