What's that you say? More
Mr. Robot? Yes, please. USA announced today that season_2.0, which was originally slated for 10 episodes, will now be 12 episodes over its 10-week run this summer.
Kicking off the new season on July 13, premiere night will include
two back-to-back episodes of
Mr. Robot with limited commercials. Titled "
eps2.0_unm4sk-pt1.tc" and "
eps2.0_unm4sk-pt2.tc," the double installment will pick up 30 days after the now infamous fsociety 5/9 hack on multi-national company Evil Corp. This season will explore the consquences of that attack -- including an FBI investigation -- as well as the illusion of control.
Immediately following the premiere event, USA will also air a special after-show titled
Hacking Robot. The live hour-long program will provide a behind-the-scenes look at
Mr. Robot.
New cast members in season_2.0 include
Grace Gummer (The Newsroom), who will play the young FBI agent
Dominique 'Dom' DiPierro investigating the hack;
Craig Robinson (
The Office), who will star as Ray, a neighborhood local who reaches out to Elliot in his time of need; and hip hop artist
Joey Bad*****, who makes his TV debut as Leon, a new close friend of Elliot’s from the neighborhood.
You can now catch up on Mr. Robot on Amazon Prime! And be ready to spread the revolution when season_2.0 premieres on Wednesday, July 13 at 10/9c on USA Network.
