If they draft Tyler Honeycutt, Malcolm Lee, Travis Leslie, or Andrew Goudelock I'd be pretty happy if I were a Bulls fan.

Why in God's name would they be happy with Malcolm Lee or Travis Leslie? What would that solve ? Honeycutt is going to be boom or bust as well. And I don't know much about Goudelock but they'll be excited over an undersized 2?
Why would they be happy? Maybe because their starting 2 guard is KEITH BOGANS

. All season long when the Bulls weren't being talked about for their MVP or their amazing ranked #1 defense it was that they need a 2 guard that can create for himself. While that may not be Travis Leslie I certaintly think Malcolm Lee can step in and create his own shot.
Also Luol Deng was 4th in MPG this season and that's mainly because they didn't have a true backup SF for him, Korver would sometimes be plugged in there but he was mainly the backup 2 shared with Brewer, they need him to get rest so Honeycutt could come in and also give them contributions.

Finally not many people know of Goudelock but he has Jimmer range not saying that's what they need but the kid can shoot the ball, he would be a second round project that would need to learn to play PG but he could help them later on.

I really like Honeycutt, he can be a good scorer in the league

I hope he falls down to Boston so he is an option for us.

Travis Leslie isn't even going to come in the league and take Bogans minutes. Leslie can't knock down an outside shot and has a poor bball IQ. That'll really help a playoff team. Malcolm Lee isn't going to step in and start right away either. You're completely overrating him.

Honeycutt playing for Thibodeau defensively? Eh. He has potential but he could easily flop as well. I'm definitely leaning more towards him being a disappointment than a stud.

You may think all that is true, but this is the type of draft where you don't really know what the player is going to look like right now, 5 years from now, whatever. Some second rounders could be better than lottery picks in a draft like this so I try to keep an open mind.
Oh yeah, if Korver and Boozer can get minutes...so can Honeycutt.

I'm a white guy and even if he was black would apropos..

A great college player... Who won't have the tools to get it done in the NBA... At best if he gets it to work he is a role player like JJ... At worst he is a massive waste of cap like Adam

2 questions....
how many of jimmers games did you watch at byu to make that statement?
what about jimmers playing style made you compare him to jj or adam morrison?

One I live in the same area he grew up... So the games got on one way or another... Didn't watch every one.. But had the access to watch many of them... (bout an hr drive... Same news teams cover stories in Albany and Glens Falls)... And since nothing ever happens in Glens Falls.. Jimmermania was rampant in the whole surrounding area..

Two...   Comparing doesn't mean they play similarly.. I'm saying his career will end up like one of there's... He shoots well.. But Lacks speed.. So being able to create his own shot will be a lot more difficult than you think in the NBA than it is on Brigham Young University.... Plays very little defense... And is an at best ok distributor... He can't play 2-guard.. So at Point Guard specifically compared to the rest of the league can't keep up speed wise, is not an effective distributor, is not good on defense, can shoot amazingly but doesn't have what it takes to create the shot in the NBA (meaning he has no mid air body control, little hang time).. Dude is a good shooting Derek Fisher right now... He could develop into a great player..  Jimmer is a Shooting Guard stuck in a mediocre Point Guard frame... Jimmer could shoot the lights out at BYU, but NBA is a whole different story... If you can't blow past your defender or move without the ball or dribble them into the ground or make moves around the basket your TREMENDOUS shooting is a non factor unless you become a corner knock down shooter.... He can shoot.. But when you are a liability every where else... Over time he may become the best thing since slice bread.. But he's going to look real mediocre for a while.

It's draft analysis.. So it is possible both of us could be absolutely wrong...

I got a question, since when are Mike Bibby and Bobby jackson on the same level?

I understand most of yall are seeing Mike Bibby from Atlanta and the Heat but when he played with the grizz and the Kings he was a Beast

If Jimmer has a Mike Bibby career, he WON

1) What does you being white have to do with making an inaccurate player comparison?

2) There are about 25 all-stars every year in the NBA. I'm pretty sure I saw on someone's twitter that 10 percent of 1st round picks go on to be all-stars. If Jimmer has a JJ Redick-like career (solid role player on a playoff team) I would consider that successful given he's slotted to go somewhere between 10-20. However I believe he will be a better pro than JJ.

3) He has very good mid-air body control and hang time. One of the ways he is able to create space so effectively is his ability to rise up on a dime. You are flat-out wrong on that one.

4) Jimmer is not slow, again not sure what you are talking about there.

5) The defense is a legitimate concern but I think he will be able to hold his own. He has a very powerful body which I think will help him greatly.

6) The bottom line is that for the majority of players drafted, their level is success will initially be determined by how well they fit the system. If Jimmer is in the right system there is no doubt in my mind he will be a good role player within his first couple years

Iman Shumpert may go as high as 13th? I mean i know there are advantages of having a 6'6 pg but that's high for him.

laugh.gif
@ the whole Bobcats roster being available. It's the truth though. Would like to see them build around DJ, Henderson, and Tyrus though. Now is the time to rebuild though

With an eye on drafting Arizona’s Derrick Williams, the Indiana Pacers have discussed a package including center Roy Hibbert and the 15th pick for the Minnesota Timberwolves’ second overall pick, league sources said. Nevertheless, the overture hasn’t gained traction in Minnesota. …The Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings are two teams with interest in prying Raymond Felton from the Denver Nuggets, league sources said. The Nuggets believe strongly in Ty Lawson as their point guard, and Felton, with a $7.5 million expiring contract, is expendable. …Houston continues to offer the 14th and 23rd picks in the draft to move into the top 10, and could have a willing partner with the Detroit Pistons at No. 8. The Pistons have told teams they won’t trade down until they see who drops to them on draft night, sources said. In what could be an interesting window into the Pistons’ preferences, San Diego State forward Kawhi Leonard worked out for Detroit on Monday, and shortly thereafter cancelled his Wednesday workout with the Milwaukee Bucks, who have the 10th pick. Several executives believe Leonard may have left Auburn Hills with a guarantee. …Perhaps no player is rising faster than Georgia Tech’s Iman Shumpert, who is suddenly on the Phoenix Suns’ short list at No. 13. The Nets have had a strong interest in him, and he could be the player they’re trying to move up from No. 27 to get. …The Suns have been willing to take back a so-so contract for Vince Carter, if it included a first-round pick in the 2012 draft, league sources said. This hasn’t happened, and as the Arizona Republic’s Paul Coro reported, the Suns will buy out the final $18 million season on Carter’s contract for $4 million. …The Utah Jazz are under immense public pressure to draft Jimmer Fredette at No. 12, but league sources said the front office remains focused on Florida State’s Chris Singleton, perhaps the best pure defender in the draft. Several teams believe Singleton could go at No. 9 to the Charlotte Bobcats. As for the Bobcats, one Eastern Conference executive said: “The whole team is available.

Why would the Wizards take him then? I have a feeling teams are overrating him. But I could be wrong because I've never seen him play.
With a point guard like Wall I'm guessing they believe his offensive problems will be limited, if he just become a consistent standstill 3 point shooter I think he can be very very good.
If he plays with a guy like Wall where he just catch lobs, hit open three's and block shots he would be a really good fit next to the wizards, but I don't think he will ever be a guy who can create his own shot.
I hate when there are prospects that I've never seen before.

Any word on what Milwaukee is doing? I heard talks with Minnesota and Bogut's name was mentioned.?? Bucks are worried how bogut is returning from his injuries. He is a top 5 center regardless.
