NBA Draft Thread 2011

@Gambo620 Suns and Warriors have discussed trade scenarios in which Robin Lopez goes to Golden State and 11th pick plus Udoh ends up with Phoenix
@Gambo620 Phoenix looking to add second first-round pick so they can address power forward and point guard in Thursday's draft.
@Gambo620 If Tristin Thompson is there at 13 he is likely a Sun if not than Markieff Morris gets the nod and if he's gone I think Shumpert is the guy
@Gambo620 No chance that T. Thompson is there at 13 so pick likely comes down to Markieff Morris or Iman Shumpert. I don't see Jimmer being the pick.

this whole 4 PG thing is getting old, the bad move in that was taking JF after rubio.

those other PGs were taken because he was TOLD to draft those players for the trades.

in the NBA you take the best player there and move him, this isnt the NFL where you get stuck with contracts and take salary hits.

if the cavs dont take Dwill, which they should, the Wolves will take him and hell go to the highest bidder.

as for the wizards, im sorry but i would trade Mcgee for that 2nd overall.

Wall/Dwill > Wall/Mcgee

And even if the Timberwolves don't deal Derrick Williams.... what's the worst that can happen in keeping him around for a year just to see what they have in him?

He and Kyrie Irving are the only ones that have star potential in this draft (Kyrie moreso...), so if the organization really sees something they like in him they shouldn't just deal him due to him apparently not fitting the "needs" of a 17-win squad.

What if he and Rubio turn into a terrific tandem?
What if he CAN actually play SF (doubtful, but just play along) and he turns out to be a force next to Kevin Love?

While center and shooting guard are positions of need, a player of impact is something that is needed more than anything.

Can't share exact tweets on my phone but charlotte is getting calls about Diaw and jack. Also trying to move up in draft and moving the 9th pick

Have we discussed the validity of probasketballdraft? Anyway..

Lakers discussion with the Timberwolves have centered around the #2 pick for Lamar Odom. LO would not be a fan but could be flipped by MIN.

Lakers are having discussions with other teams as well about Odom. If Lakers acquire a pick in lotto for LO than it would likely be for a PG

It might sound crazy,

but what if Kahn says we want to keep and him around and he becomes a bench player. He can be a 6th man for this team
Luke, Ellington/Webster, Williams, Randolph, Tolliver/Pekovic I wouldn't mind throwing that out.

Plus you can plug him in with Beasley for some minutes and same goes for love.

He'll make an impact where ever he goes. And create some mismatches. I just watched an interview he did for the wolves. Seems like a nice dude. Haven't see much of his game but he does look like a bruiser in the paint though.

Apparently his name is Joe Kotoch.

Cleveland based sports agent. He wrote this mock draft over the weekend.

And in that mock he has Biyombo going to the Knicks

therefore I believe everything he says and he's a genius.
