You are the mutha ****in man, my guy!

Small, Unatheltic, Frail, Jump shooting, suburban, light skin guard DOMINATING the NBA and leapfrogging other great players and taking 3 rings away from Bron in his prime has people upset. Doesn’t fit the prototype. Not supposed to happen.
According to who? He’s actually the typical story of today’s AAU. Dude is a rich kid that only needed to play ball his whole life. That’s how things work now.

Further more “who” is this addresses to? Dude typed up a rant addressed to twitter trolls?

Yeah, you 100% missed the point.

Bro acting like Steph some underdog story. Yea his physique isn't the greatest but dude had every other built in advantage to make it. The family pedigree, stability, money, infrastructure, etc. Just stop.

Another guy that misses the point. Y’all comprehension is lacking. You and others for some reason...can’t understand how that privilege, upbringing, lack of physicality, not fitting the nba prototype of dominance, appearance and being a “jump shooter”, breeds resentment amongst peers/fans?

It’s a nuanced discussion some people just can’t grasp.

Enjoy the dubs W tonight tho.

None. I think Both Steph & Big O are top 15 players ever. Steph still writing his story. What are you arguing here.

Those guys are all time greats. What else needs to be said.
I’m ok with Oscar being in the top 11-15 Steph probably around there or 15-20

Put nobody trying to put them over magic as GOATPG

When Steph Curry career is over and he accomplishes those things that’s fine we can put him into that conversation. But y’all already trying to crown him as the greatest ever without getting to those checkpoints.

Of course it does, but what makes his situation so different from any other athletes? That argument works for anyone in the league. There are groups of fans who irrationally criticize players because of their own insecurities. Does that make criticism of Steph invalid?

Where’s the resentment? Who’s saying he isn’t good? There’s no basis for any of that. Do you understand how legitimate statements work/are made? Do you understand what validity means?

“Everybody hates on him”

Ok who?

“Well....... everybody hates on him....?”

Ok....? Who are you talking about?

“Ehhh..... you just don’t get it.......”

Most these dudes had to scrape they're way to the top, Giannis is a great example. Money doesn't necessarily buy talent, and even talent doesn't necessarily earn greatness. It's the hunger you can't really quantify, once these guys get to the top, cause they are contributing to a larger story, and not individual stories as much.

lol at your logic. sometimes i wonder if you even believe the things you type out.

Family pedigree? Wouldn't the NBA be filled with sons of former NBA players?
Stability, money, infrastructure? wouldn't the NBA be filled with rich, white kids?

Steph has bbbad ankles
Steph just a three point chucker
Can't lead a team to anything, team had to draft two hall of famers to help him
Defensive black hole
Just a few takes over the years, from nt. Dude was not supposed to be here 6, 7 years ago. According to nt, though. And social media. And talking heads.

Again, it’s different because he’s so dominant...doing it in a way that we’ve literally never seen before...and people still have a tough time fully understanding it or giving it its proper credit and context. We can conceptualize a 6’8 freak athlete wing or 7ft center dominating the game. It’s conventional basketball. What are eyes see...tell us that THOSE guys are the ones supposed to be dominating. Steph tho...there’s been push back...every step of the way.

The reason we moved the award shows to after the playoffs, actually started with his first MVP run. The first ever “Players Award Show”...came in 2015. After Steph won it. The players voted Harden in the offseason. They didn’t believe Steph was the “real mvp”. They thought the 67 win team in 2015 was a fluke. Then they followed that up with 73 wins and the unanimous mvp season...it shut some up...but their was still skepticism. And that skepticism got confirmed in the 2016 finals. Order was restored in conventional nba wisdom. The only time you really saw a meltdown. Then the KD thing happened...and it really upset people for a number of complex reasons.

3 championships in 4 years...about to be 4 in 5....and there is still some resistance to fully recognize the greatness. Not only amongst a segment of fans...but amongst peers to. It’s what Iggy was literally saying man . It’s a lot that goes into it. They’ve been having these discussions for a minute.

In fairness, he hasn't been without a cast of future Hall of Famers long enough to disprove most of this.

Just looking at it honestly and realistically, he's benefited from probably the best starting lineup of all-time. That's undeniable.

It's not that difficult to understand. But yea go with the hyperbole.
