Y'all do know Ben Simmons will be playing in the NBA for another 10+ years right? Sports fans are such prisoners of the moment.

How does that preclude him from being trash and an underachiever considering he was the overall number one pick and considered a generational talent at the time of the selection?

Perhaps now, but my point is this isn't the end all of his career.

I wasn't in on all the projections of him being the next LeBron, but I would have told people they were bugging back then.

And this playoff performance doesn't mean that he isn't a generational talent. It means he had a bad showing in the playoffs.

I got no horse in this race. I really don't care other than being a fan of tall point guards. I just think speaking in such absolutes so early in his career is a mistake.

But I defended MCW too so wtf do I know.

One of my issues with Ben, he acts like he is great already. Dude calm down, take ownership in your game and get better.

Man, no matter what happens this series, gotta put respek on bballkid11 ‘s name because, national media included, other than Max Kellerman who is currently relapsing, he’s just about the only non-HOU fan who is confidently picking the Rockets.

Everybody else is like “James Harden is a cheat code, Rockets are playing extremely well on both side of the ball, the Dubs rotation is hella thin and they don’t look like themselves but Golden State will probably win the series”. Folks seem to be pointing out how well the Rockets are playing while highlighting GSW’s glaring deficiencies and then giving a wishy washy endorsement for the Dubs to win.
