Add in Rondo and there you have it.

Everybody thought the Lakers would coast to winning a ring when they added Malone and Payton, too.

The Celtics don't have a Kobe or a Shaq.

I agree in that aspect, but you gotta look at the rest, look how far the celtics went this year with no KG, now add a healthy KG, who had about half a yearrest, a hungry sheed for a ring and this team on paper is the team to beat in the east. A Betta version of last years orlando, with ray, sheed and PP bein ableto shoot 3s and KG/Sheed/PP rebounding. All rondo has to do is not lose games and pass the ball. All 4 stil have another 2 - 3 years in them of GOODbasketball.

add Rondo to that too....and just, wow.....Like someone said though, we seen what happened to the Lakers when they added Malone and GP...They did make it tothe Finals and I do think if they stay healthy we will see LA v. Boston pt.2.....

Unless they win a championship?

You're in denial about it, but VC's number is getting retired in Toronto.

Billy Buckner aint getting forgiven unless the Red Sox won a chip, you think they will retire his number when the entire crowd will boo him?

Toronto ain't that forgiving, unless we win a championship Vince number can go *@@@ itself.

Add me to list that doesn't find that Boston team scary at all. One...KG and Sheed are two jumpshooters...unless you're Orlando...I'm not worriedabout a team that has those in their frontcourt. Also...as we've seen now in the past I don't know how many finals...the stars do the same but it'sthe role players that seal the deal for a championship and I look at Boston and don't see a single player that fits that Trevor Ariza/James Posey mold. With Powe and Baby likely out...their bench is probably worse than it was last year. They better hope Grant Hill comes along.

and boston got some back ups this year thats going to surpise yall

.....trust me when i say that.....injuries is the only thing that can hurt the celtics

I wouldn't compare the that 04' Lakers team to this Boston team. This is a Boston team who probably would've made it to the Finals with a healthyKG last season. They aren't RELYING on Sheed. I was one of the few who said LAL wasn't going to win that year because GP and Malone just wasn'tgoing to put them over the top.

If Rasheed isn't starting, it will only make their bench better anyways. There is nothing specifically wrong with Boston's starting lineup, so adding aplayer of Sheed's caliber to your bench is always good. That's why I think its good he's not starting because their starting lineup have beentogether for two straight years now. You definitely want those same 5 together during the season to get back in the flow with KG being out.

I believe Tony Allen will surprise a few people next year and they still should have Eddie House. I don't think they will let BOTH Big Baby and Powe leave. If they're able to have a bench with House, Allen, Powe and Sheed they will be fine. Adding Hill will only make them more dangerous.

On top of that, I hate Boston.

man, i'm going to miss sheed on the pistons.

and, i HATE the celtics.

oh well.

That defense, which was already good, will be ridiculous.

I'm not scared of Boston. They're old, and the farthest they'll probably make it, is to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Boston don't scare me at all yet. They have ONE player playin ball in his prime (or early prime) and thas Rondo.

Rest of them dudes got lotta miles on them tires.

KG may not ever be right, maybe he will, maybe he won't, but at his age, playin since he was 18 in the NBA, Ima go ahead and figure that his knee isn'tgetting stronger every game he plays, more like the opposite.
Ray been showin for a couple years that he can have stretches, but he can also go away for a while, that's just going to increase with another year, andnow another player (Sheed) to take shots away from him.
Paul is prolly the biggest weapon they still have. I think he should still have a good year this year.
Sheed, eh, depends on his mood. No way to predict what he'll bring/do. We'll see.
Need to see how that bench rounds out before I start to worry about them.

They'll be there at the end, they'll be in the mix, but as of this second, i take a younger Orlando team with less wear and tear over them.

yall keep hating on boston....unless injuries happen they will win the 2010 championship...and i'll put my sn on it cause w/ football season coming up iknow ima really rack some posts up.....BUT BARRING INJURY

But somebody will get injured. Four of their five best players have been alive for 131 combined years, and in the NBA for 58 combined seasons.Never mind the fact that all of them have a history of injuries; it's bound to happen.
