The Hornets and Bobcats are in advanced discussions on a trade that would send center Tyson Chandler to Charlotte in exchange for fellow big man Emeka Okafor, according to NBA front-office sources.

Get it done Hornets. I can't believe anyone would be interested in someone with such damaged goods. While I like Chandler I have a little insideinformation within the Hornets org. and his foot will 'never' get better and he carries a huge salary for two more years.

As has been said, it has not nearly as much to do with cutting payroll as it has getting rid of a potential problem. We would have Okafor through his primeyears at a reasonable salary for a top 10 center instead of possibly getting burned with Chandler and his injuries.

Jamaal Tinsley is interested in playing for the Heat, but can't officially talk to teams until he clears waivers on Wednesday.

The Heat have mixed views about Tinsley internationally, but they are still in need of a veteran presence at point guard.
