I'm not going to pretend like I have seen Stephen Jackson play for more than 5 times last year but I will say this there are alot numbers that suggest theJackson has fallen of a cliff defensively, have any GSW fans noticed this?

I've noticed it. Stephen Jackson is over-rated defensively. Marco Belinelli was our best defensive wing player last year, which may not besaying much on a team that doesn't stress defense, but that really gives you an idea of how over-rated Stephen Jackson is defensively.

I thought I heard somewhere that Mark Cuban is against dealing with Don Nelson and the Warriors due to their beef... or maybe it was Don Nelsonwho won't make a trade with Mark Cuban due to their beef. Anyway, I thought I heard what I heard. How serious can I take this rumor?

alright then, g.buckner and humphries... both sides are happy..right after buckner is cut, g.state immediately saves around 5 mill.

All those players can be traded before the season starts just not right now.

For instance Greg Buckner can be traded after Sept 9.

Oh ok. I guess we'll just have to wait until Dallas can make a trade for Jackson.
Sign-And-Trade Still Possible For Leehttp://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/61362/20090830/sign_and_trade_still_possible_for_lee/
There are a number of sign-and-trade possibilities still out there for David Lee.

Alan Hahn of Newsday reported overnight that there "are a couple of sign-and-trades still being considered before a one-year deal is negotiated."

New York general manager Donnie Walsh is seriously considering a pair of reasonable trades involving Lee, but there is a possibility that the forward could stay with the Knicks under a one-year deal if neither trade is worked out.

The Blazers are mentioned as a possibility as they nearly made an offer to Lee before they eventually signed Andre Miller. New York would want Rudy Fernandez to be included in any proposed deal.

Cleveland isn't a likely destination for Stephen Jackson, who has shockingly requested a trade from Golden State.

Jackson has multiple years left on his contract, which the Cleveland Plain Dealer believes will shy the Cavaliers away from a trade.

"Due to the contract alone, it seems unlikely the Cavs would want Jackson and the four years left on his deal, even if he's a quality player," Brian Windhorst of the Plain Dealer wrote.

"It is true that Mike Brown is close with Jackson and helped turn his career around when the two were together in Indiana. But Jackson's actions and behavior over the last few years have red-flagged him. I guess you never say never, but it doesn't seem to be a good fit."

The talk around Dallas suggests Don Nelson is interested in discussing a trade with the Dallas Mavericks involving the disgruntled Stephen Jackson.

Nelson may be interested in dealing the guard for a package of expiring contracts.

Nelson may also be willing to part ways with guard Monta Ellis due to the coach's interest in giving rookie Stephen Curry plenty of playing time.

Once Yao Ming was ruled out of the 2009-10 season after surgery to repair his broken left foot, Tracy McGrady was cast away from the thoughts of most. Mac underwent microfracture surgery in February, speculatively ruling him out until the middle of '09-10. But without Yao, the season seems doomed to begin with. This will potentially be Mac's final campaign in Houston, and given the state a Yao-less, McGrady-less Rockets will likely find themselves in by the time Tracy is cleared, there's really no use to having him, is there?

This can all be nullified, however, if McGrady comes back early in the season and saves Houston from doom. And that's exactly what it appears may happen.http://

Jonathan Feigen, via The Baseline, reported Friday that Houston GM Darryl Morey visited Tim Grover's gym in Chicago this week to check up on Mr. McGrady. And he apparently liked what he saw.
"He's way, way ahead of schedule," Morey said. "He's already playing. I don't think anyone could have predicted he would be playing now. He still has a long way to go. There is a lot of rust to shake off."

The way this is phrased, Morey sounds like a bro who knows he really shouldn't get too excited about the dame across the bar he just made eye contact with ... dangit that dame looks wonderful, but she's also aging, gimpy and emotionally quizzical. Morey doesn't want to pin his season on Mac because, well, Mac is coming back from microfracture at age 30. But ... hmm ... just imagine the possibilities.

With Luis Scola, Trevor Ariza, Shane Battier and Aaron Brooks etched in as apparent starters, scoring will be a big need. And with all due respect to Chuck Hayes' improved free throw stroke (no!), McGrady fits that role like latex. Inefficient latex, sure. But it still works. (Sometimes.)

Dude says he's in the best shape since the injuries, and he could compete, He's my favorite player, bias aside I think he can put in work, what do you guys think? (tell me something good please!
