I mean he's a lottery level talent. Most mock drafts had him firmly in the late lottery to late first round midway thru his final season in college. He had to have some terrible workouts or something to slide that far.

I see y'all are seeing some of the gripes I had with Russell.

Still young, he'll figure it out eventually, but this is why I thought he'd struggle initially.

It's not some secret everyone knew he's not an elite athlete.

And yet dudes still gave me flack, especially for saying he'd struggle to finish in traffic.

If McConnell was a few inches taller he'd be a legit player in this league. Still think he'll make a great coach one day. Kid always seems to make the right play.
