NETFLIX-Narcos '17- Season 3 trailer up

Has anyone seen the Patron del Mal series? It's basically a Colombian version of Narcos...10x better and stays way closer to the true story. They didn't have the operating budget that narcos had but it's much more detailed and has 70+ episodes

I know this has been said before, but I guess I have to reiterate. The name of the show is "Narcos", not Pablo Escobar. Pablo was the perfect story to start things off because he's so well known, but if you think the drug sun rises and sets with Pablo, you're lying to yourself.

Point taken with the title but its known as the story of Pablo as the while series revolves around him. So what are people gonna associate Narcos with?

Pablo.

Why you so defensive b. You the director?

Multiple sources and critics have said they wonder how Narcos would fair without Pablo as the main dude. He was "very captivating" and such an "interesting story."

Everyones heard of Pablo. Can that be said of everyone else?
Sensitive?

While Pablo is more of a household name, it doesn't equate to having a more interesting story than the other cartels that followed. It's just funny to me that people will question the direction of a show, when they they don't know anything outside of Escobar. The Cali cartel storyline, if done correctly will have all viewers satisfied and anticipating the next cartel they decide to cover. I'm a huge fan of the show btw and since I do know that there is a lot of good stories to be told, just had to speak on it.
Come on bro don't try and flip script now.

You went at dudes neck like he was endorsing child pornography or something, now you're acting like you were just saying "hey Cali Cartel is also intersting" or something.
You can't be serious with yours?

@ thinking you're a cartel connoisseur, but the Cali cartel isn't on your radar. The **** I read on this site daily is baffling

 dude definitely getting mad defensive over a goddamn tv show

Your average day layman will associate Narcos with Pablo. If that same layman is willing to sit back and learn something they will realize that Narcos applies to a lot more individuals. I believe that's exactly what Netflix had originally planned. Draw in viewers with a well known person, keep them captivated with the stories of other Narcos they don't know about.

Nobody is flipping the script. I was having a conversation with a member whom my original comments weren't directed at.

Child pornography, really? Your reach game is A-1, with that analogy. Can't even call someone out on an misinformed opinion without the #ntextreme being used.

Nobody was getting defensive, you sounding corny af if you can't recognize that.

Bruh, the first 2 seasons is ALL about Pablo and you think it was Netflix' true intention to educate the average joe about Narcos in general?

Based on your expertise, and knowledgeable opinion, THAT is Netflix' true end goal? Despite ALL of the first 2 Seasons based upon Pablo?

To the wide audience, its about Pablo and his drug empire. The other narcos were just side characters to them.

That is what the "average" and majority of viewers will think about Narcos based on what the first 2 seaosns have been based about. If you wanna think more on it obssesively then yeah sure you can argue your point...but thats taking it a step up that doesnt need to be done.

That clip is great, it shows the Cali Cartel moving in on Mexican land and the culture of narcoBaladas which claimed the lives of many musicians because they chose to speak up against the Mexican cartels...I think that show will be awesome.

I have no earthly clue why these dudes are worried like there aren't great stories surrounding the biggest drug dealers in the world.

I thought season 3 was gonna be subpar. Man!!! It looks Lit [emoji]128293[/emoji][emoji]128293[/emoji][emoji]128293[/emoji]

I did. Loved it. Better than narcos story wise for sure

Pablo wife was thicc af :pimp:
And chili sister was a Mami :pimp:

Is Patron del mal really better or are y'all just doing that thing people do to appear exclusive?

Not at all. It's a lot better since it's fleshed out over 70 episodes. Shows things from the early early days up until he dies. Way more in depth

There's only so much you can cram in 20 episodes of narcos and it was a bit more dramatized but it isn't bad

I just prefer patron more so

^^ It's better for sure because it's longer are more substance:tongue:

I think the actors were better in Patron, dude who played El Chili was good.

My co-worker brought up a good point, some of you guys who don't speak Spanish are losing alot of the plot and not fully understanding.

Like my guy was so confused why lead and silver?

That doesn't have **** to do with Spanish, your man's is just poor at context.
This. It's really not hard to decipher the meaning of silver or lead. His coworker must've been watching half asleep.

Take the bribe or get the bullet. I don't speak a word of Spanish other than what I've learned from the show.

Chili was the best!!! Actually my wife and I got a puppy a couple months ago and named him Chili because he's Pablo's most loyal guy in the show and our favorite character. We looked up to make sure we weren't naming our dog after a murderer, Chilis real name was "Pinina"

Chili on the left

Edit: by the way, the guy who plays Pablo in Narcos is Brazilian so his Spanish is off...very strange choice for the directors IMO. However, I thought his Spanish was a lot better in the 2nd season. Patron del Mals storyline is much better than Narcos, acting is better, but special effects weren't as good because they had a lower operating budget. It stays much closer to the true story than Narcos, which has a serious USA slant. Narcos was out of order and some things were just erroneous and completely made up. Patron del Mal pretty much ignored the fact that the DEA was involved, but I think the DEA was involved more than they gave them credit for.

spoiler: pablo dies

show is great man.

Aint it wild how it makes you feel bad for dude at the end? Narcos had the flashback with his cousin

Patron de Mal had Pablo talk on the phone with his wife and kids during his bday

Either way you kinda feel for the guy at this point. Even tho he was pretty much a terrorist in Colombia

Nah. Even watching the scenes with his family I kept remembering those documentaries I've seen over the years. Dude was a arrogant maniac.
