Kanye's "genius" is just a bunch of cosigns from other artists and yes men to stroke his ego and to show humility on their part.

I become less and less of a fan every time I hear this dude speak. The older I grow and the more mature I get, the more immature and ignorant Kanye gets.
I hope he gets back on track man. Someone or something needs to knock dude back into reality.
I think part of it is also him stepping out of the box, we choose to place him in.
For an entertainer / producer to tell his consumers that he is not interested in focusing on the product you fell in love with them for so he can venture off into other facets is taken as an insult.
He's still doing work, just not like we are used to or can readily see.
From the design standpoint of the things he's talking about, i think they are innovative and he is keeping with the trend of being a ground breaker not just in hip hop, but fashion, design and videography.
I think the resistance he is being met with is natural and normal for going against the grain.
But what makes him this "genius" that everyone is speaking about so much nowadays? Because he's dressing up in some european guys clothes at his concerts?
Him stepping out of the box is cool. Kanye has ALWAYS been outside of the box. But people give the dude too much credit for **** that he barely does well.
The dude makes great music. But thats where it ends. He really has no real impact on the world outside of music. And his music BARELY impacts the world. Gold digger was his last huge track that touched damn near everyone on the planet. Since then, he's just been riding on the fumes.
Dudes hype the guy up like he's Michael Jackson or something. To the point where he ******g believes that BS. Its sad.
Whats the last thing KANYE WEST designed? If it wasn't a sneaker, it was a sleeveless hoodie. His credibility of creativity is limited to a short range of platforms. And until he stops talking and puts HIS MONEY where his mouth is, and stops begging for OTHER PEOPLES MONEY, he will forever be the rapping sneaker designer.
You don't get the benefit of the doubt when you stroke your ego so damn hard. He talks about what he COULD do, but isn't showing what he can do. When there are kids who don't even have a tenth of this dudes money, out here making moves.
Dude needs to learn some humility. Maybe people in power will start to like him.
