I'm not really into Baseball like alot of you dudes, I know enough and I'm smart enough to know what certain situations call for. But am I wrong forthinking Sheff should be a regular starter ?

And if it's in the back pages my bad, but could someone update me with the injuries we dealing with right now ?

No you're not wrong for thinking he should be a regular. We're absolutely weak (in terms of punch) in the lineup right now. And Sheff is the closestthing we have to a slugger.

Injuries:
Reyes - calf, out another few days to a week
Delgado - hip, out 6-8 weeks
K-Rod - back spasms, out indefinitely
Ollie Perez - confidence, out indefinitely
Schneider - i don't even remember what the hell Brian is out for but he should be back shortly
Cora - thumb ligaments, no clue when he'll return

I think we may have caught a break on that review.

Possibly, but it was too sunny to really tell whether or not the ball was foul while it was above the foul pole, then flared to the right while falling downand was able to be seen because of the Budweiser sign.

Rays will def be in the running they are off to a slow start and have too much talent not to be.

Red Sox are a better team than the Yankees, they have more guys who make plays on a consistent basis.

Mets should NOT have been swept in L.A., if Church touches 3rd base this is a 6-4 road trip at worst......but it is what it is and I'll gladly take a 5-5road trip vs teams that are great at home.

They need to handle their business vs 2 crappy teams in the Nats/Marlins at home, and not play down to the level of their competition.

2 out of 3 in Beantown will be gladly taken. Time to go home for some mediocre competition. Hopefully we are 4-2 at WORST this week.

Considering the circumstances (injuries, shoddy fielding, stiff competition), I'm not mad at the past week.

But can anyone tell me why we have a night game tomorrow?

It's not like the team is coming from LA to NY.

Boston is a hop, skip, and a jump.

A day game for Memorial would have been GREATLY appreciated.

Next 4 opponents: Nationals, Marlins, Pirates, Nationals

Injuries or not they gotta handle their business and pad those wins.

David and Beltran are going to have to continue to carry this team.

Zimmerman: .348 BA, 11 HR, 34 RBI, .408 OBP, .603 SLG, 1.011 OPS

Wright: .350 BA, 3 HR, 30 RBI, .447 OBP, .519 SLG, .966 OPS

Zimmerman >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wright.

Let's get it.

Zim needed a 30 game hit streak just to get those numbers, Wright just STARTED, slumped the whole month of April, and still has a higher BA.

LOL @ 13 wins.
