Here's the Sunday rubber-game lineup as the Mets welcome back Ryan Church while trying to avoid becoming the first team since the Diamondbacks (May 8-10) to lose a series to the Nationals:
Cora, 2b
Martinez, lf
Beltran, cf
Wright, 3b
Murphy, 1b
Church, rf
Schneider, c
Valdez, ss
Hernandez, rhp
,.....and apparently Maine had a tight shoulder, hope he is at least ok.
It was nice to see Jenry Meinja promoted from single-A to AA so quickly, he made his 1st start yesterday and pitched well: 7 IP, 0 ER, 5 hits, 3 BB and 5K's
Phils looming

While the Mets enter Sunday's end to a seemingly navigable stretch against the Nationals, Marlins and Pirates with a 6-5 record, the Phillies and then the Yankees will await in New York, the latter series in the Bronx. Here's a projection of the pitching matchups against Philadelphia, with help from our friends out in L.A. covering the Phils:
Tuesday: Johan Santana (7-3, 2.00) vs. J.A. Happ (4-0, 2.4
Wednesday: Mike Pelfrey (4-2, 4.85) vs. Cole Hamels (4-2, 4.40)
Thursday: Tim Redding (0-2, 6.97) vs. Jamie Moyer (4-5, 6.27)
