Gillian or whatever her name is looks badass as nebula. At first I was skeptic about to many bad guys but this film looks like it will pull it off!

Man I was hoping the movie would take itself more seriously than that /:
My face sank when I saw dude from step-brothers as a Nova (but maybe I am wrong since I know nothing of the Novas). Peter Quill has a pretty dark past. They softened it up in the Marvel Now retcon though.
I don't know how to feel /: I have been looking forward for this movie for so long and stayed positive about it after the Guardians teaser in TDW.

I think it will. Hopefully. Maybe since it was the premiere, they wanted to show Chris Pratt's humor? I'm hoping the rest of the film would have a serious tone to it.
I thought we were going to hear Groot and Rocket speak.
They changed Star Lord's name to Jason Quill?

But besides the Collector I think the character design is ill. WIsh Gamora had the yellow eyes, or even slightly less green eyes

Pratt has not dissapointed me in the movies he's been in, but this is a very different role for him, I'm not sure how they gonna balance Pratt, RDJ and Rudd if they all have to share screen time...might just be too much..

No he won't be in action but he'll make an appearance and make his presence more known. I think after Avengers 2 the marvel universe will be wide open and Avengers 3 will ultimately be Infinity Gauntlet

We got 3 gems so far (Cosmic Cube, Whatever this is, and the Aether). Some people even theorized that Loki's scepter is the mind gem although that was never confirmed. 3 possibly 4 gems. Thanos should be in full force in Avengers 3

^^ I still don't get why MCU wants to make the cosmic cube an infinity gem. I guess they don't want flesh out the back story on the "stones" and just have the casual audience already caught up on the story behind them

I think they read the theories on the internet surrounding it being the mind gem (powered the tesseract somehow. Even though the tesseract was working before Loki got his hands on the gem) or the space gem and liked it so they ran with it.
After all the Infinity Guantlet already had all the gems in it in the original Thor so they definitely didn't plan it out.

Don't be surprised if Thanos' appearance is the same amount in Avengers.
They are pretty much fleshing it out I think, each film that features the stones gives it a brief backstory and I don't think we really need any more than that, they just don't want to make one film that explains all the stones/gems, seems pointless. The only one that isn't explained is the gem in Lokis staff but even that one is an speculation. They already touched up on all the gems being interconnected in Thor 2 and they explained the red stone (whichever gem it is), the cos mic cube got enough screen time. When it comes time to it, they'll likely have a speech from Thanos explaining the stones even further and giving it some more info on where it came from and who created them and such.

When they first announced Guardians, I didn't pay it any mind. When all the names started coming together, I thought it might be interesting. But that trailer got me hyped. It's like this perfect meld of Firefly and Farscape, in such a full, modern way. It was so much more than anything I expected.
