Next Gen Xbox Reveal Confirmed for May 21

the 24 and 1 hour limits are how long you can play offline w/o the box needing the authenticate, you can play on another machine for as long as you want as long as its connected to the net.

As for having 10 people play the same game, only 2 people can play the same game at the same time

That makes no logical sense what-so-ever... otherwise, what the other poster said is true and you could indefinitely share games. That is counter-intuitive to what MS (and developers) is trying to accomplish.

I honestly, don't care about used games. I buy new games and keep them. I want the people that made the game to be rewarded for their hard work.

But, I don't like the precedence that MS is setting with the new console (and if Sony follows suit I am done). This industry is heading toward gamers feeling gratitude that they are allowed to game... it should be the other way around, these developers should feel honored that hard working people decide to buy their games. Simple supply-and-demand, without us deciding to buy their games, they would not be there to feel "owed" more rights over a product that we purchase.

I don't know, the whole purpose of gaming feels kind of bastardized now. Not sure if I want to partake in the next gen of gaming as these 2 companies proceed with bending the consumer over.

Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere: Xbox One will enable new forms of access for families. Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One. Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friend’s house. Only now, they will see not just Forza, but all of your shared games.  You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time.
I never said it made sense. Shared accounts will probably replace lending on the x1

Microsoft paying people to make positive comments about the xbox one :{

Looks like Microsoft just got busted for doing something on Reddit that is a big no-no, according to a Redditor that goes by the name “mistysilver.”

Representatives of Microsoft may be hanging out on the social news site voting up positive comments about the Xbox One, voting down negative comments and adding pro-Xbox comments of their own, Misty Silver says.

Misty Silver didn’t reveal his/her real identity, except to say. “I work for a marketing firm in Redmond that has a contract with Microsoft. I can’t say specifically which division, but suffice to say we are not involved with the Xbox.”

The story goes: While at Microsoft for a meeting, Misty Silver saw and overheard some employees on Reddit. She looked at one of the employee’s screens:

“I noticed he was mass-downvoting a ton of posts and comments, and he kept switching to other tabs to make posts and comments of his own. I couldn’t make out exactly what he was posting, but I presumed he was doing RM (reputation management) and asked my boss about it later. According to my boss, MS have[sic] just brought in a huge sweep of SMM managers to handle reputation management for the Xbox One,” Silver reported.

“Reputation management” is the term social media marketers use to “pose as happy customers” on social media sites. They upvote/downvote and make comments.

In the last year or so, Reddit has become a prime target for reputation management, Misty Silver says.

Reddit says its ok for people to submit their own info to Reddit within reason. But it’s strictly against the rules to either “pretend to be someone else” or to “create mass downvote or upvote campaigns.“

In extreme cases it can get an entire company completely banned from Reddit.

That’s probably impossible with Microsoft. Legit Redditors are going to want to discuss the company and its products. But this kind of stuff still really irks Redditors. One of them even outed a Reddit account they thought belonged to a Microsoft marketer.

Obviously, we can’t confirm this story. We asked Microsoft for comment on if they have people on their payroll using Reddit and will update when they reply.

Still the idea of “reputation management” is for real.

This thing drop in 5 months the earliest. We cant come up with nothing to make em understand we wont stand for this?? No point in going over thesee facts. We all hate at least 2 changes that makes this lame when they couldve left things alone. Anyone going the E3? If i go, Im heckling the hell outta MS speakers. That wont change nothing, but it would make the blogs and alert more casual gamers who would buy it to the issues that they would face. You think a petition would work? A march on Redmond? Jammin MS customer svc phone lines wit irrate complaints? What? We have ALL the power, only if we unite.

Angry about the  Xbox One? Put off by Microsoft's increasingly anti-consumer attitude? Company man Phil Spencer isn't worried. In fact, he's confident you'll buy anything it puts out, because that's what gamers do.

"We believe that if all you want is gaming, you'll still pick us, at the end of the day," Spencer dismissively told  OXM. "The super core guys, they will buy everything. They will buy all devices, but most people really only do buy one device, and if you're going to think about what that one device is, we believe an all-in-one system that does the best games and TV and entertainment will be something that's really unique."

Why would a march work at all. This isnt politics. its a system that you dont even have to buy. MS will still have sales.

Plus getting into those press conferences isnt happening unless you have a press pass

:lol just don't buy it

You protest by not giving them your money, that's all.

Also people make me laugh. The 360 sold 75 million units. This is a vocal minority and Sony trolls that are making the uproar. If you wanna play cod, halo, gears etc your probably gonna buy an Xbox 1.

Right, so the press, developers and industry insiders that are killing them are filled with Sony trolls? The vocal minority that is causing an uproar are educated consumers.

Of course developers and people that have a larger outlet for their thoughts are the vocal minority. Not saying they are trolls, but what makes their opinions more valid than the millions of consumers that buy products? And look at this thread. How many troll posts have been in here?

We get it. Anything you don't like is a "troll post". You wont be swayed from your ideals, even when beaten over the head with logic.

you think youre gonna change their mind?  >D

I think we can. I just don't know how. All them tactics I listed wouldn't work, they only understand $$$. If MS felt they would lose at least 30% of potential sales then they would do whatever we want. They not gonna make something they cant sell boatloads of. The problem is sending that message to make them actually believe that. Someone said, by a Wii U instead. If XB1 drop wit flat sales and Wii U sales shot up 50% same time, MS would halt production. But I personally don't wanna waste bread a Wii I aint gonna use. The key is unifying millions of gamers and a consice monetary plan of action....Ahhh hell screw it. No one cares of enough to try to do anything. Why should I. Take my money M$.

Yea i wouldn't exactly call this the vocal minority or Sony trolls.

If home consoles are turning into PC's we might as well go out and build one ourselves for gaming . This DRM and always online crap has no business on home consoles . Hope this console FAILS and forces Microsoft to realize how stupid they were . Consumers need to realize how much they are trying to bend us over and take a stand .
