Not a "political" issue.

Not a "political" issue.
Then why can't I call the team by their proper name? Oh, because said name is not "POLITICALLY correct" otherwise, I should be able to call the team by it's proper name without getting *** out. But whatever, not a big enough deal for me to leave NT or get banned over, I'll stick with the 'Skins.

is that Madden/NFL Ticket promotion still valid 2 days before the season starts? I might just head to the store and buy Madden tomorrow, even though the game is trash.

I don't know if the in-store purchase will work, but i know it has to be the Anniversary Edition one to qualify for Sunday Ticket

Amazon product ASIN B00CF7KVMI
Got mine from Amazon, $100.00, flipped the game for $50.00, so I got Sunday Ticket for $50.00 :smokin

Avoiding saying something that clearly offends people has nothing to do with politics.

Spare me the "the world is so politically correct these days" rant.

Broncos with the W last night! Couldn't be any happier with the game and Manning's performance!

Sorry, I don't think a forum should have a political agenda, there is a diff. between banning a word that has a long history of not being accepted by society and a word that is the proper name of a team, thus clearly accepted by society currently, and this forum, in it's effort of not be offensive to anyone has banned. That is the heart of politics.  It's been that teams name for years, it's what I grew up saying, the fact that they are trying to change it offends me. Wheres my love?

But as stated, it's not worth me getting banned over. Either way, they can change the name and I'll still call them the ******** and will still wear my jersey with pride. We're concerned about a name that is very seldom used as a derogatory term toward Indians (hell the term Indians should get an astrick  in this context because we are not talking about Indians but rather a mistaken term for a group of people that we are to lazy to actually change) as some guilty feeling because of the years of genocide committed against that people, hell the term "Tonto" has been used more in a derogatory way than "********" has.

But like I said before, I don't agree with the politics of this, the pandering to the Indian population, we aren't *** out braves, or Fighting Irish or anything else, this is clearly a response to one groups dislike of a term, a term that has less to do with animosity towards Indians and more toward communal pride, but whatever, I'm not getting banned over a word, I've already done that a bunch lol.

That being said.

Denver is the clear Superbowl favorites, I can see a Broncos V Skins superbowl, the NFC is so wide open it's crazy, a few favorable match ups in the playoffs is what it will come down to.

The reason the term is accepted is because the people that should be most offended had their lands conquered and were basically exterminated by the dominant society.

Just because the dominant society finds a slur acceptable doesn't mean its right.

But this is a country that found minstrel shows entertaining so nothing shocks me, the dominant society in this country has been entitled to mock and pillage every other culture in this country since its inception. My mind is blown that in 2013 its cool to call a multibillion dollar corporation Red Skins.

Ahhh well we know one thing for sure you ain't getting the dub either way doesn't matter so look forward to the number 1 pick better yet forfeit the season :lol

Some under the radar matchups I'm looking forward to on Sunday:

Bengals v. Bears - Bengals look solid on paper.  Good QB, great WR, and a solid defense with the likes of Geno Atkins and James Harrison. They seemed to make a run at the division, no better way to set the tone for doing that than by getting a win on the road in the season opener at Soldier Field. As for the Bears interest in seeing how Cutler does under Trestman, and if he can help minimize Cutler's erratic play

Seahawks v. Panthers - Cam finished last season strong, but can he continue that in the opener against a vaunted Seahawks' defense and for the entire season overall? Russell Wilson was tremendous last year, looking forward to seeing how he does in year 2. Also while the Seahawks are unbeatable at home, they have been very mediocre that last few season outside of Qwest Field, especially when they have those early afternoon road games like on Sunday.

So while they're among the NFC Super Bowl favorites, and are favored, getting a win in Carolina isn't exactly a gimme (I think they'll win Sunday).

So I don't have DirecTv but my friend does and has the NFL Ticket. They gave me their info and I'm able to watch the games on my phone through the app, but is there a way I can bring them up on my computer with their access code and then connect my HDMI cable to watch it on my tv?

With regards to viewing games on your computer, this is what I got from Directv themselves:

"To view live streaming video and video highlights using your computer all you have to do is go to www.DIRECTV.com/nfl and follow the link to launch NFL ST Online (on Sundays during the regular season). Enter your DIRECTV.com username and password to login. Once you log in, the interface loads and a video stream of the Red Zone Channel automatically plays if it is currently on air. Game streaming is only available 12:45 PM - 8:15 PM ET on Sundays during the regular season."

Watch that left side of the line in Cheese Country.... Rodgers is going to be running rampant.
