Alex Smith the perfect game manager :lol. When **** gets bad and he has to win the game and throw down the field he cant do it :lol. Nice game though

The game manager damn near threw for 300 yards.
After tonight's game, the non-game manager Alex Smith has thrown for 669 yards this season. That's good for 5th on the list of passing yards.

LOL he has played one more game than everyone else.

also, the Eagles Defense is garbage and MOST of those yards Smith threw for tonight were after the catch.

for comparison here is what the other 2 QBs who have played Philly have done;

 RG3 had 329 yrds and 2TD in week 1 (With a absolutely terrible first half, and his first game back from injury)

and Rivers threw for 419 yards and 3TDs

I still don't get the criticism of Smith, he knows what he is and is doing it efficiently. I'd much rather see him play within his means instead of forcing throws downfield that get picked off. He doesn't have the ability to be a Rodgers so why try? Alex Smith is playing by the mantra I try to live by: 'Accentuate your strengths, hide your weaknesses'. Will the Chiefs win the SB with him? Probably not but for now he gives them the best chance to win.

Side note I know I was joking about it last night but legit if Ben went to KC I could see them being like Pitt of 7 years ago. I really like the pieces they have

Never thought it was gonna be easy, we were a 4-12 team last year for a reason. That many holes can't be filled in ONE season. But fundamentals SHOULD be, we made so many mistakes last night any other team with an aggressive QB woulda won by 20+

- Damaris fair catching inside the 10 yard line (like he always does) then fumbling
- opening Chiefs kickoff return going 40 yards
- Vick's pick 6 and staring down receivers all night
- Lane Johnson and Herremans being beat like a drum ALL night by that Houston guy
- Riley Cooper getting zero separation
- redzone playcalling
- Henery with another missed field goal
- linebackers and safeties that can't tackle/cover an infant on third down

The schedules makers did us NO favors with 3 games in 11 days, immediately followed by 3 straight on the road. This season is gonna get ugly if the entire team can't make some major adjustments. I don't even wanna think about playing Peyton Manning next

Im so tired of hearing this 4-12 excuse. From all accounts it was only bc Vick was hurt lol.

Oh yeah and the team yall lost to was 2-14 last year...it looks like theu filled alot of holes pretty fast

IDK what "accounts" you're referring to but they definitely weren't from anyone with common sense. Plenty of holes on this team besides Vick

When you have a defense like the Chiefs have you always have a chance to win in this league, 2-14 record aside their issues were clearly on offense last season. Ours were everywhere

Colts went from a 2 win team to an 11 win team last year - THINGS CHANGE IN THE NFL. You seem quite upset. Show me on the dolly where the eagle touched you.

He's a smart qb who knows his limitations, but that doesn't make him a good quarterback in this league. He's just literally "meh". As a big time quarterback you have to take chances occassionally, yeah you're gonna throw picks once in a while but you'll also get big plays. Dwayne Bowe cannot be happy with running routes alllllll game and not even getting looked at. And the offense Andy is running is geared to him, but he is limited and that allows a good defense (which they haven't really faced yet) to not be held honest. He's an avg qb whos not gonna win you a game but he's not gonna lose you one either. Quintessential game manager. Most of the criticism was about how flat out boring and mundane and ordinary he is at the position :lol. His highs are not as high as others but his lows aren't as low either, he's just really there to me...nothing truly special (though he has good decison making but how good can it be if you just say from jump I'm NOT throwing into coverage? Bc that severely hampers their offense), and thats fine. In b4 someone mentions Vick bc I have not once said he is elite Vick is inconsistent when hes on he plays like a top 5 qb but when hes off its :x :x. But for instance, Phillip Rivers isn't a top 8 qb either but I'd muuuuch rather have him than Alex Smith. He's just an average guy, like a #3-4 pitcher who throws to contact and tries to induce ground balls rather than strike guys out. Even look at last night....if our D could tackle those 3rd down conversions to Donnie Avery don't happen and the chiefs punt so those drives would be dead. He'll eat on a bad defense for sure though, and live off YAC which is what happend last night.

I never meant he was a great or even good QB. I'm saying I respect an individual that performs as well as they can, and that is the case with A Smith this year (and last year with SF). He can't do better than be a 'game manager', so be the best darn game manager you can be! My point is, I'm not going to get down on someone who simply doesn't have the tools or ability to do any better. He can't help that, he can only accentuate his strengths and hide his weaknesses (so glad I've used that twice now)

Bengals v Pack are interesting this weekend, what else looks good?

:lol you know the Chiefs had several pro bowl players right? And KC isn't gonna win 11 games this yr, the jags, cowboys and us aren't exactly world beaters. FYI us being 4-12 wasn't just Vick being hurt, Shady got hurt, Desean was concussed, Our ENTIRE Offensive Line besides Mathis missed most of the season, oh AND we had an offensive line coach serving as D coordinator with a piss poor defensive secondary to boot:lol what is he talking about? :rollin And the Colts were fortunate in many games last yr with a schedule that wasn't that tough either, not to take anything away from them bc they did beat who they needed to beat. Lets make giant assumptions on the season 3 weeks in though yeah!!!

:lol nah I feel you totally and like you said he's smart and knows what he can and can't do, which is really critical....I'm just saying I hate watching him play QB :lol When you get beat by someone dynamic or great its at least fun to watch, with him its like a slow painful incision into your gums by a dentist ESPECIALLY when he eats on my team's trash defense its infuriating bc he won't throw beyond 10 yds. But I respect people who stay within themselves, just don't like watching him play haha

But Phins-Falcons should be good as well as far as other games.

I would kill to have a game manager like Alex Smith instead of an all or nothing Josh Freeman. V-Jax would probably be mad as hell though :lol

How did he hide his weaknesses? Pretty much the whole world now knows this dude will never throw it deep (if they didnt already). Off the top of my head he only threw two deep passes: hail mary with no time left and the 3rd and long to Avery on the drive that got 8mins (when he absolutely needed to. What's crazy is that pass had zip and wnet in between some defenders. It's not a case of can't but won't.

Def coordinators aren't that stupid, they will adjust and beat this. Or he's going to be down 21 at some point and then what?

FWIW, I'm not hatin'. Yeah i was bored, but it worked and that's all their obligation is. Instead of not being beddazzled by the Chiefs people should be mad at
the lack of adjustment by the Eagles.

Chiefs could very well win 10 games this season.

13 games left an all they have to do is play .500 ball.

They play the giants / raiders x 2 / jags / ******** / browns to mention some.

They could very well split with the broncos, beat Houston , split with the chargers.

It's possible, don't down play the team cause they beat the Iggles.

Phillys next 7 games

At Denver
At NYG
At Tampa
Dallas
Giants
@Oakland
@Green Bay

:x :rollin These Eagles fans are going to turn on Chip real quick
On the flip side its not crazy to think they could beat TB, Dal, Giants(Once) and Oak..leaving them at .500

Do you guys think the Steelers would take a 2nd rounder for Big Ben?

Prob take a 1st rounder.

You figure that any team that trades for him ( Minny / TB /.............. 8o ) is playoff bound.

That 1st rounder becomes late.

Chiefs are balling so far..3 wins in 3 weeks..
I will say i didn't think much of the Chiefs coming into the season and they playing solid football, looking like a wildcard spot..but lets not get carried away, they played Jax n Dallas at home, n beat Philly on the road..which is a decent road win but thats a schedule that set KC up for a good shot at 3-0 with a new coach and Checkdown Shawty Smith doing his thing
