:lol Okay.

It would've happened by now if they thought it would not hurt the image of the NFL.

Google Art Modell death threats.
Yeah but that was a team with a serious history and fanbase.  If the Rams move back it's not the same at all.

You may be right, I'm not sure what how meaningful the Rams organization is to the city of St Louis - but the backlash behind it in the social-media age would be disruptive.

If I remember correctly though, the Raiders used to draw like 45,000 fans per game in their last 3 seasons in LA.

They're fairweather fans....an losing NFL team would create the same nightmare...

There's a reason why there is still no team there.

That's not the reason there is no team there, moving a team isn't easy.

They want a new stadium built first.

Really? That's not the reason?

If they drew crowds like that in this day and age, there would be local tv blackouts every week :lol - it's not JUST the stadium issue.

Part of the problem is the size of the stadium in LA...it could seat 90,000 people.

funny thing about NFL attendance is people act like nobody is going to these games. jacksonville averaged 60k fans at 90% activity

So you think if they build a new stadium with a decent team it won't draw.

whats makes you think they will be good? NFL has a hard cap, you can't buy your wins like in baseball and basketball

Its the NFL any team can be good

yeah thats what im saying. LA fans only show up when their teams are good. and in the NFL and can't buy players to keep the team relevant like the Lakers, Clippers, Dodgers, Angels, and USC does

Bingo.

That's exactly why the NFL is not hard pressed to put a team there.

To them, it would be no different than a team playing in Cincinnati.

The hard-cap kills the argument that an LA team would dominate based on location.

Why should fans show up to watch a bad team?

Fair. And I can understand it. In a bubble without NJ and just the metropolitan NYC population, Jets and Giants might be the same way.

why would any business move to a city that won't support them?

Honestly what's wrong with a player dunking the ball after a TD.

lame.

I think it's cause Jimmy Graham (maybe others as well) was bangin' on it causing to become slanted afterwards, I personally don't have a problem with the 45 seconds it takes to fix it but then again its the NFL/Roger Goodell and unfortunately it doesn't surprise me.

if it's because the goal posts are getting bent, i get it and am fine with it. a guy not dunking a ball through the posts isn't going to ruin my football watching experience :lol

they can still gronk spike it, right? :lol
