Good move for the Diplomats, good deal too.
This might just rise them into mediocrity enough to contend in the NFC East. Don't get me wrong, the Diplomats are still a bad team... But that division

appreciate the kind wordsBut DJAX Garcon Roberts and a (hopefully) healthy Jordan Reed.....Thats more then promising for an offense. Hopefully our o-line and defense improve in the draft but id like to say we could officially be "average" now.

I really wasn't trying to be a hater, I swear. Just that defense and O-line loom large.appreciate the kind words
But DJAX Garcon Roberts and a (hopefully) healthy Jordan Reed.....Thats more then promising for an offense. Hopefully our o-line and defense improve in the draft but id like to say we could officially be "average" now.
Then again, the Cowboys got demonstrably worse. The Giants didn't get demonstrably better. And the Eagles are relying on Nick Foles to elevate a pedestrian group of receivers.

Not with 16m guaranteed upon signing, not a bargain, but a good signing. The per year would be much higher if the guaranteed wasn't already so high. He gets 2/3 of his contract, upon signing, think about that. It's crazy. ******** took most of the risk in that contract, but that's what probably made DJax sign there so fast. I think he'll pay off, but you never know how things will be which is why it's so dangerous to give away that much money.
EDIT: I guess another way to look at it is it's a 2yr/16m deal with a 3rd year option, excluding possible incentives which is not bad at all. I'm interested to see how they did the cap.

It will pay off b/c he'll be in line for another huge payday when he's 30. He'll be playing hard for that. So it's something to keep in mind.
The numbers for this deal are great. I have zero issue with the signing and after seeing the 3/24, it makes the deal that much better. Win/Win for both the Skins and D-Jax.

The more I think about it, the more I like the contract. It's a lot of money up front, but I mean you're goona keep him for 2 years at the least, so it's all good in the end. If the cap is well proportioned, then yeah, definitely a very good signing. Feel like the Eagles kind of dropped the ball, could've at least got something for him and got him out the division.

Chip better have a plan but the way I look at it; Desean was gone next season no matter what so they did it a year early to draft his replacement in this draft.

Not sure if it all comes down to RG3 THIS year.
We still have a terrible D Coordinator and we had/have one of the worst special teams in the history of the league.
The pressure may have risen a bit but it was already astronomical. He's also led 2 top 10 offenses in as many years. I think its really up to our Coach and OC to make it work.

You guys lost your top 2 pass rushers and still employ a DC that set records for ineptitude. You guys safety play is nearly as bad as the Skins and both your corners are in the wrong scheme.
