True!
The Wild Card Game against the Chiefs and the divisional against the Ravens Peyton had 5 picks total. Then he finally turned it around in the Championship game but still.
I was shook with the Chiefs, especially with the way our run defense got torched that year and had that one game against the Jags where they ran wild for 375 total rushing yards and in that game we were going up against LJ who had 1700 that year. Was so ****** shocked how that defense played.

Crazy they held the Chiefs to like 45 yards in the entire first half of that game.

For sure I don't see any QB's carrying their teams to Super Bowl victories on the strength of the passing game alone, but some people seem to want to make that the standard for credit.
AveragedefenseQB play and good to stellarQB playdefense will get you a SB.

Which is why (to keep it Brady related) I consider what he did in 2011 more impressive than most people credit him for.I don't think there is a formula but you can't win with a garbage defense.
I respect your opinion. I just wish that people who shared your view differentiated between BB the coach and BB the general manager.TB will always be great but I've said it before, I give most of the credit to BB. Just my opinion.
And many people forget about those defenses when they were in the SB almost every year.
Brees and Rodgers won back to back.
Quiet as kept the Ravens only had the 18th ranked defense two years ago and Joe Flacco sold his soul to the devil for an epic 4 game run.

Belichick the GM = continually gets a pass for personnel mistakes, struggles with replacing key players they've let go, and not helping his best player by surrounding him with inadequate talent.
There's a lot things that need to come into play when winning a Superbowl so IMO it's unfair to pin all the blame/give all credit to one person. But I honestly believe the whole strict PATRIOT WAY management approach has been the biggest factor to their recent playoff failures. And that falls on the guy who has the final word in football operations.
Russell WIlson's QB play... not average. That myth continues to be perpetuated on NT though.Fixed. Did you happen to watch the Superbowl this year?
At least he had that dope goal line touchdown playBens first run minus the SB
Dude was fire
Then XL hit and he froze

I don't know champ, I hear ya and all but with Emmanuel Sanders now gone and this draft class being deep and talented at the WR position I can see the Steelers taking a big WR in round 1, especially with a mid round pick. Also, you figure getting a big WR early in the draft would make Ben happy and give him and the offense (or lack thereof) from last year a vote of confidence. There is absolutely ZERO chance the Pittsburgh Steelers take a receiver at 15. No, way.
That is not the Steelers, they are great at moving around the draft board and never reaching. They have Brown, they have Wheaton, they have no need in round 1.
Round 3, then they'll take a WR, sure, but not round 1, no way.
