So in hindsight....should the Browns have just stayed at their spot and picked up Sammy or Evans to pair with Manziel? I just don't get that if they knew about the Gordon thing two weeks prior to the draft that they didn't draft one single receiver. What decent receiver that could make a real impact could be available for trade right now?

I'm guessing they knew he won't be suspended all year, and I think they're gonna mimic the jets during Sanchez's rookie year. Run game and play action with a solid defense

Better hope he doesn't pan out as Sanchez has.

Literally the only comparison I was making was how they'll try not to put everything on his shoulders early :lol

Haha no I know. It's crazy how Mark found success his first two years. We lost his weapons in Edwards/Holmes and it was downhill from there.

Browns knew two weeks ago but they had no idea it would be up to a year. Probably thought 4-6 weeks.

Even if they thought it would be 4-6 weeks, they shouldn't have assumed. ESPECIALLY since it isn't Gordon's first rodeo. That being said, they should have had some sort of plan to soften the blow by either drafting Watkins or Evans. There was zero foresight on their end.

any possibility that the browns let manziel sit on the bench to start/majority of the season? with no weapons at wr or rb, don't see the point in destroying his confidence and career before it starts

as long as that offensive line is good to go, which i assume it is, he's playing :lol

My take on the Gordon situation:

The Browns obviously know something we don't.

There is NO WAY they would've made that trade with the Bills if they knew their #1 WR would be gone. I understand getting the top CB and they wanted to fill the other holes, but this team is going no where with Greg Little and Andrew Hawkins as your #1 options with Cameron as the go to TE.

Also them not drafting a WR is just unreal if it's true. EVEN IF this never happened I still thought they would've drafted a WR

I know we're Cleveland but we're not that dumb.

Gordon was on ESPN the other day on First Take

You really think they would let him go on air representing the Browns if they knew he was done?

At the end of the day we just gotta see what happens.

Gordon needs some ******* help if he is gone for the year.

Media/Cleveland fans won't let him go all year without a start.

An instant legend for winning week 1 against a rebuilding Steelers team? :lol
