I should've banned this guy yesterday when he spent the entire afternoon throwing a tantrum over exotic cars...
Hatred is learned, not inherited.
This whole "tolerate my intolerance, I was born a bigot" nonsense is revealing only in the sense that it admits the prejudice was formed before the rationalization. Paint yourself into a corner all you like with this tortured logic, but you've already stated quite plainly that the hate precedes (and defies) reason. If your hatred is "natural" and not learned, just as, in another weak metaphor, you "naturally" despise cow tongues, shellfish, or bivales, then it isn't a reasoned belief. Thus - by your own admission and your own comparison - we're talking about the same infantile "yuck" factor. What adult allows that to run their lives - let alone the lives of others?
Now, I don't for a moment believe that your infant self had any concept of homosexuality. However, let's talk about what small children "naturally" find yucky: heterosexual behavior.
How often do you hear small children say "eew gross" when they see their parents kiss? It literally happens all the time. Can it therefore be argued that children's aversion to heterosexual PDA warrants the criminalization of heterosexuality?
What you're proposing is equally ridiculous. You find it gross, so you think it should be outlawed. The whole "deviance" argument is clearly just a strained rationalization for your "instinctive" revulsion and should be dismissed outright.
If we are to take your own argument at full face value - and that's quite a reach - we'd still have to come to the conclusion that a person's orientation in the spectrum of sexuality is genetically determined and is not somehow "communicable." In other words, a gay couple showing affection in public does not and cannot affect you or your children in any meaningful way. Maybe, if you are a child or, at least, childish, you'd think "ick," but we don't outlaw the public display of clams.
Grow up.
