something tells me people in here would complain about the new foam if one was used...something else to complain about along with tapergate and clearness of air bubbles, midsole thickness, etc...etc....

I'm sure we would complain. Because we can. And because it's fun to discuss these things if you're passionate about it. We would all be satisfied if they just made the original, but they won't and maybe, just maybe they can't, but I don't believe that. Why wouldn't they be capable of making a shoe that's some 30 years old all over again? I mean, it's not that there are no examples anymore or anyone who worked on the shoe has since passed? On the other hand, I'm really looking forward to the new retro and all CW's and collabs they're going to release. Exciting times ahead! And I'm absolutely sure we will find something to moan and groan about again. Because it's fun

So its finally here .... There is no rubber flap directly connected to the sole we can see glue . But Yep its rock hard on the air unit like an encapsulation protection.... I'm pretty sure you Can swap og pairs with this midsole then and adapt the OG sole Flap glued on top of this air bubble . For that WE need ugly color donors

And yess like Chrizzx said earlier there is white paint but it can be removed .... Guess if its unglue over Time i'll do it but for now they will be on foot

bubble size for a 14 .... Correct height if i compare my ceramic spec ... A tad more lenght but this IS bigger size not 13

Nothing on US SNKRS either. But 24th is confirmed for boutiques. Sometimes SNKRS drops a different day but I doubt it here.

I'm currently in conservation mode , to seal the old PU and add little structure i'm slowly adding paint and a flexible uréthane Top coat . One pair is done , i need to do the others before this summer

Flap idk if its the correct term, by this i mean thé rubber extension directly connected to the sole that protect the air unit on OG pairs . On this one its not connected thé bubble itself has something super hard on it . You Can here it when you walk its tpu and pretty rigid.

Maybe it's glued to the air unit, rip it off!!!

Do you think this was done to fix the glue/squeaking issue with the 18s or did they create a new problem here?

i think they are talking about the window in front of the air bubble, original detail on the 180, it is part of the actual sole , i believe it is a pronation detail as well as it acts like a cup holding the air bag in side. i will try ti find the picture. I will have mine today and review will be up on youtube.

Bé careful its super thin where at one point when the rubber become clear . Too much force and it will tear the sole

The air bubble sits inside the casing. the outer window (hard) is part of the sole.

And its flexible on the OG and should be rubber . If you know the sound some Air max 2 cb makes under the heel , if you presse it you hear some click because of thé micro air gap , feels hard on this 2024 like TPU probably thinner with harder shore scale on a durometer
