NIKE AIR MAG 2015

I've said it before and I'll say it again...no matter what the retail is...high or low...resell is going to be non existent. I have had many cash offers for my 2011 Mags...all local in person deals. All around 4500-4700, which is less than I paid from the original auction. NOBODY follows through. NOBODY. Everybody is a wannabe Baller. And then I have gotten 2 1000 offers and some joker wanting to trade RO's and another guy sayi g he has Jordan "samples". Nobody is dishing out racks for these. Power laces or not...just not gonna happen. If you have the bread upfront and the means, you'll secure your pair. Resell is going to be rough for anyone thinking they can make a quick flip.
if you put it in Fc it will move. Ppl ain't tryna meet up with 5racks in their pocket, don't really blame em.

Maybe it's me, my area and what I'm used to. My GF has sold much of her older jewelry, for MORE than the Mags, for cash meeting at the house. Last year we sold her 2012 Escalade for 38k cash, also meeting at the house. Dude showed up with mostly cash and an 8k business check.

The offers have come from a boutique owner locally, where all I would have to do is show up to the shop and he would draw from the register. They're for his collection and with 4 pair of Red Octobers chilling in his collection case behind the counter, he seems to have the cash to spend. The other offer sought ME out through IG asking to meet for a cash transaction. Then a few days after agreeing ti HIS offer he texts me asking what the best i could do. Come on now...And I brought them to another boutique in NY for a day just to see what would roll in. Many inquiries and 1 offer for a grand in cash down payment and subsequent $500 installments to pay off the rest.

My point is cash deals IF the buyer is SERIOUS and the set-up is proper, in my experience, is no big deal. But nobody is trying to spend that kind of money on these. I did not advertise, people offered to me. But if you can't follow through, don't bother offering. That's my opinion.

I was with you until you said $38k cash (mostly)....I see your in Jersey...unless your in an area where cats is slanging rocks...this would never happen...

The truth is unless your slanging rocks...dudes ain't walking around with cash in those $5k+ numbers...

And if you know anything about banking..it's not that easy to get your hands on it nor deposit it once you get it...

Regarding wearing Mags, It takes a whole team to put together a decent looking fit with these.

How is that man you can wear any type of jeans with these man, you don't need to go all out; you want the attention on your shoes not just the outfit.  Said this before, you can just about wear anything with these man. Stop trying to get a set and just wear it.

@Ayipapi
Yes in NJ. No rocks here. I'm 36, my girl is 43 with her own PT practice. Her ex husband is a surgical podiatrist. No need to make up stories or say "who knows anything about banking", just going from personal experiences that's all. As for the truck, the guy who bought it had I want to say a restaurant, don't recall off hand, so however he wrangled his cash is his. But you take some, deposit in the IRA, checking, kids savings/college funds, etc. not that difficult if you spread it out over family expenses.

As for Mag fits...I have worn mine with a black T and dark blue jeans...pretty simple and effective as stated above. No need for future jackets or hologram hats lol.
Wow, we know who wears the pants in the relationship

; just kidding but I don't know why people think they have to have every little detail to match their shoes.  I'm a '90 kid so I just wear my shoes with anything basically (It match my clothes but I don't go all out).  I believe that these Mags will probably be auctioned off like the 2011 verison.

The Fresh Prince The Fresh Prince

I tend to lean toward the auction route as well, but I really believe that this release is not going to please anyone and Nike is going to disappoint MANY people with it.

Deep down I really think the Mag, the way we all envision it, is not going to release at all. I think Tinkers quote was just in regards to seeing power lacing. Not power lacing mags. But I'm sure someone will post and prove me wrong but everybody should be ready for some heartbreak.

Well they did have an article on Nike patenting the power lacing on the Mags, I believe they are still trying to develop how they are going to work before saying anything else.

EVERYONE and their grandmother are going to want a pair of these. Not only sneaker lovers, but BTTF fans. Nike should just release a million and a half pairs. Just make everyone happy :rollin

Walter..
yup but, nike is not going to do that. instead of meeting demand. they rather let ppl riot and resellers profit.

...you're welcome

Lol some people will never understand this; they truly believe they have to have their outfit compete with the shoe so to speak... This was especially true when the Grapes dropped... some of the most ridiculous outfits I ever seen smh lol...

This is the one shoe where Nike could absolutely get away with meeting demand, and even exceeding demand. Nike should just do it, for the sake of making a KILLING.
But you're right, they won't make anything near what demand will be..

Walter..

Wondering if I should camp out for these or just preorder them
Since nobody knows how these are going to release, where exactly would you camp?  Would you take your chance with Footlocker or eBay headquarters?
