Yea you're right. Any time I see a upcoming 98 that looks good I just assume it's a women's colorway.

Not as wide as a 97 in the forefoot area. I usually feel most comfortable going with a half size up than normal in the 98, but i can still fit my true size, just takes a little bit longer to break the sneaker in.
