Yea after a few coats, I noticed they only get but so black. As long as they not yellow, thats all I care about...

I'm sure any black fabric marker will work, but mine is called "Marvy Fabric Marker". They had them on sale for $2 at my local Michaels.

they actually look better being black, I might buy me a 2nd pair to dye mines cause I still love the grey but the black is much better.

anybody ball in these outdoors, are they comfortable?

I used to ball in the Air Raid 2 in the 90s so I bought a pair of the Air Raid 1 to ball outdoors.   They are comfortable for me, with a wide base, the straps lock down tight and my ankles feel secure.  They are on the heavy side though.
