What’s the sizing consensus on these newer pairs? TTS? I went .5 up on the OGs, but wanna make sure they’re still not .5 up.

For those saying TTS on these newer pairs, did y’all also go .5 up when they originally released?

Seems like everyone got different answers. But for me, these newer pairs are TTS, length wise theyre great this time around (OGs felt shorter to me). I tried .5 up on these newer pairs and it was a tad bit too long for my preference but I tend to hoop in these.

Half size up for me worked. Still a bit tight width wise but think they will break in. Full size up would been way too long.

The leather tongue is about half an inch shorter than what's on the OG's. Shouldn't affect performance, because I never really cared for the other tongue.

Protros. Got rid of my OG 8’s a long time ago so I don’t really have anything to compare these newer releases to at the moment b

Sure, I don’t think tongue really matters much when it comes to performance… maybe if it’s paper thin and gives you a lot of lace pressure, but even that’s a stretch.

First run in these were meh… nothing special, which brings back memories

But, I just remembered that the Bron 4 retro has a drop-in midsole and it seems to fit so next time I’m gonna swap them and see how that goes. Just walking around the house they feel fine.. but the ultimate test is on court.

*These Bron drop-ins aren’t FLZ, more like a 3/4th Zoom setup. I’ll try and find pics maybe FDZ cut them open.

That Lebron 4 drop in on the retro isn't that great to me. It was better on the OG 4

The Jordan 27 had a drop in I used and use. They had the different drop ins for air or zoom and the zoom was always better than the lunarlon on the OG 8.

The Zion 3 has a drop in, but it's too thick

I love Zoom, but more recently (maybe as I have gotten older) I find myself not wanting TOO much Zoom… like Zoom strobel and OG max type Zoom is too much. But give me something like Zoom turbo or maybe a small unit like the GT Academy or Ja and that’s good enough for me.

Anyhow, here’s that pic of the 4’s midsole.

Pretty thin, similar to a strobel setup but you don’t really feel the bounce because there’s not much firmness for the Zoom to push back against.

Had one of each setup on my foot… the Zoom is better but it’s not night and day better. Still very minimal bounciness on both shoes.

Agreed, I’m not a fan of too much zoom these day. Still have a pair of theses I just have to change the zoom bags, but its the prefect setup for me

Way too tight on feet….went up half a size up too. The react insole/midsole is way too thick.

I knew the Lakers home would get dirty quick, but these joints are dirt magnets. Only wore my pair for about an hour, and dirt spots very visible on parts of the laces & tongue.
