I like everything really besides the actual "Lake Show" word. Would've been perfectly fine as Los Angeles or Lakers instead. Might pickup those shorts though.

What’s the quality like? Want to get one but the past couple years of swingman jerseys have not been great.
Feels the same as all the other Nike swingmans I have, only difference is the embroidered Nike logo. But they've been doing that for the past 3 years on classic editions anyway.

Wasn’t the rumor circulating around here that it’s only Mitchell and ness that can do authentic throwbacks for the nba?

Yeah it’s been the rumor for a min now. Thing is that exclusive license gotta run out at some point you’d think. I mean Mitchell n ness entire business model is based on “authentic” throwbacks so maybe they got some crazy long agreement in place

Edit:
Just found this

Idk how many years but yes, they specifically have the exclusive license for Hardwood Classics aka the Classic line Nike only makes Swingman of

I know the rumor

they've had a deal for decades while Nike, Adidas, Reebok all make swingman, did at one point make authentic too

but same time, why is NFL allowed to and its a bigger product and market

Look at my post right before yours lol

Specifically m&n owns the Hardwood Classics exclusive license so Nike can make authentic nba jerseys of everything except classics

Guessing m&n doesn’t have the nfl exclusive for retros

it says they have the license to make all hwc products. But that can’t be true since nike has made hwc swingmans, shorts, shirts, socks, hoodies, and hats. So why not authentics too

Another thing is, MN doesn’t even produce authentics of all the classics actually being worn. For example they’ve never made authentics of the Curry 3pt record jersey. So why can’t nike make it, it’s not like they would be taking sales away from MN for this jersey

I think the answer would be M&N could make that jersey if they wanted to and that would/could be taking sales away

Just another example of Michael Rubin ruining everything for the jersey collectors. SMH

that would be interesting. they couldn't get adidas mesh right, i don't even think they know how to make Vaporknit

but then again Nike probably owns the rights for vaporknit, so MN can't make vaporknit authentics either. so it is a paradox that neither side has full rights, and maybe that is the real holdup

lmk when Nike decides to stop playing games and release more stuff tho

they're doing good job with NFL, releasing all types of authentic, throwbacks, new designs, specials jerseys. all at $350. cost more to produce too I bet

so for a simple tank they can't just throw out every design (minus HWC)

Could just be the person writing the article is lazy and is paraphrasing the facts. The question is whether or not they have the exclusive license to produce authentic jerseys for hwc. Based on this and the fact Nike doesn’t make em, its prob safe to say they do

Yup, I think you right
