Not sure if this was posted here already but these New Air Trainer 1's are up on Nike I.D. now. No orders til July 1st though!!!

packaging is better quality than the shoes it appears.. my pair is likely sold at retail before I even see them.. This release is sickening to me.

04 zt1/ 00 at1 is the real rebirth pack.. this lack of quality is giving me a headache to be honest.. not worth$180 let alone $400.. sad desperate times


btw whats in the book? I could careless about the gimmicks of this release. the real gem is in the info that is given out about how/what/why they did certainthings

the book just contains the story about john macenroe and his relationship with the shoes, then it goes into bo jackson's story. it then goes into presentday and discusses the new trainer 1. there are some nice pictures in the mix too.

I explained myself earlier in the thread, I copped a size 14 off NDC, the size I usually wear, but as many people have stated on here these bad boys run small.I'm selling them so I can cop a 15. Doesn't seem like a bad thing to do now does it?

sold mine separate.. the price varies by a lot..
the retro bo's are from $140-200
the new ones vary from $160-200

oh wow.. Just got home and opened the package up.. This quality they are pawning off onto us is sad. This shoe set SUCKS. Flat out highway robbery in my books.They are getting returned tomorrow. Almost two weeks of waiting and I come home to that? No Thanks.

Thanks for the information. I might need to reconsider trying to get a pack. I really only wanted to get another pair of Nike Air Trainer 1s, butif the quality is not that great, having a lighter green Nike on the strap (like the pre-2008 versions) might not be worth it.

Here is a some what in depth look at the new package and some other shots I put together before the pack gets sold off tomorrow.

2009 Trainer 1:

Sticklers note: Tongue text does not match the swooshes green color.. attention to detail is near ZERO with this set

Tried these on real quick and instantly I felt the medial side upper flex point right above the swoosh. The materials really have no softness. instead theyhave somewhat of a give to the material.

Side shot with the shoe on for a moment. Upper material can be seen bending and moving. It almost feels like plastic. but thats just me

2009 Air Trainer 1 retro:

Stickler alert.. Green accents on the tongue tag are almost neon yellow compared to the accents on the upper of the shoe... Bad blending in my eyes.

2002 limited retro vs. 2009 limited retro:
In my opinion, they are 99% alike. Other than the tongue tag being different, these have essentially the same materials and colors all around. If nike has beenholding this mold since 2002 and still manages to release the shoe in limited supply, that's just sad.

Bottom line: The 2002s have a fluid green accent color all around. 09s are close

2000 at1 vs 2009 at1:

Bottom line: Slight color variations in the new version. Obvious material differences. but the shoe mold and shape itself has maintained its likeliness afterall these years.

Overall impressions. I'm not big on synthetic materials especially when we're told they are used to make shoes lighter, but whats 2oz. when a shoe isuncomfortable. Give me comfort, real materials, and that 2 oz. of added weight.

100% hype on these/ Nike is proud of this effort? Maybe my expectations are set too high or others too nice to Nike, but its just not something I'm proudto own.. Barely worth $180 let alone ebay resell prices.. Just be forewarned.. Look at the shoes away from all the other gimmicks and you'll see what isee.. I've never seen a toebox pop back into place like the 2009 air trainer 1 retros do.. thats synthetic leather for ya

Good pics Wally... Fantasy Rebirth Pack for me... fantasy is right... we'll probably never see that exact specification released.

RE: 02/08/09 AT1 mold ~ Why wouldn't Nike use the same mold? Just from this release alone, it 'justifies' their move... everyone scooped them upwithout hesitation... Oh well.
