I have the Black/Grey NYC VaporFly. Nike makes very little sense now. The VF Elites were $600 usd. The next pair of VF4% coming Sept 2018 is $250 and uses the same upper fk material.

Soooo why the $350 price difference? Nike had Flyknit on dozens of models for years (widely available)

i believe the type of flyknit and midsole are different on the elites

what nike reunner got looks thicker and there was an iteration of the elites that had an ankle collar but i don't think that was the one sold

but yeah it's better not to think about nike pricing, they price it on how much they could sell it for and iirc the price for the elites last also included a meet and greet with kipchoge
