NikeTalk....What do you do for a living?

Right on! got another brother on here!

Which local?

I'm an inside apprentice out of local 332.

I should've been an electrician. The low starting wage and having to go to college as well as technical school discouraged me. Not to mention, the 6 month furlow that was going on.

Time after time, I've witnessed how much electricians have each others back. That kind of brotherhood doesn't seem to exist with carpenters these days, least not in NYC. :smh:

Damn I didn't know you had to go through all of that to become an electrician in NYC. Maybe it's some other classification? Never too late to do it!

But yea, as far as the brotherhood goes, it's pretty awesome and we do take care of each other in times of need.

You're right on the never too late part.

Every Electrician apprentice needs an AS to become a Journeyman. Dudes making $$$ while sitting on a bucket. Rightfully so.

Call center rep for Sprint, but I'm working on getting my bachelors in Accounting.

Specifically I work for an internal department handling order escalations and management for a specific service for phone deliveries.

I'm unable to work/attend college due to my chronic illness so for now I work from home.

I sell social media usernames for a living. It's not a consistent form of income but most of the time I earn as much as my friends with real jobs or more.

More than enough to provide for myself, fully untaxed too.

Essentially what I do is acquire desirable social media usernames through various methods and then sell them.

I also do paid Dutch to English translations for college students, mainly med students.

I intend to pursue a career in computer sciences, mostly likely cyber security or programming, when I get my diagnosis and treatment options for my condition.

Do you make up user names?

Do you make up user names?
No, that wouldn't be of any value, anything of value is already taken, regardless of which platform. Social media usernames are just another form of flexing for some people or for marketing purposes. An instagram username like Fitness for example can easily be monetized into a fitness page so that would sell for several thousand dollars.

1 letter usernames (A, B, ...) sell for $3000-10000. Rich Arabs are obsessed with rare and short usernames and you will see that 99% of them are owned by arabs. Those are just some extreme examples. The average username is somewhere between $50-100. The more premium usernames (for example, Addict, Blood, Magic) can range up to $500 or more.

I use a custom built program to rapidly scan a large wordlist on IG. Instagram resets inactive usernames (seems to be random, no set time period) so they can be recreated. I continuously run the program so if something on my list pops up as available, I can immediately take it. Of course I'm far from the only one with such a program so there's a bit of luck involved. You also have to be aware of what's valuable and what's not so your wordlist isn't cluttered with worthless names.

That's the method I use. Most people I know go a little further (filing fake trademark claims on usernames, social engineering IG support, ...) which is a lot more profitable but I prefer to keep it clean.

I've stolen and sold a lot of Twitch and Kik accounts in the past, at least several hundred, but I always made sure to only go after accounts that had been inactive for years. One man's trash is another man's treasure.
