Finally finished Mario Odyssey with all of the Power Moons. What a great game. The controls really set this game apart from any 3D platformer Ive ever played. 10 out of 10 for me.

If you havn't beaten all of the levels on the dark side of the moon or attempted to get the Power Moons in a each world, you really didn't beat the game. The tougher power moons force you to learn how to play. After a while I was pulling off some crazy stunts with Cappy. I had Mario looking like a Parkour master out in these streets. Such a fun game.

So that means you even managed this level too?

That **** was harder than "Darker Side of the Moon." Hell, that **** was like a mini-Grandmaster Galaxy level by itself :smh:

I finally read through this thread after a few weeks and whats with all the complaining and Odyssey being a bad game. The worst 3D Mario ever?? Some of ya'll are whylin. Did ya'll even play the game long enough to make that claim. It took me 2 weeks to even get to the Dark side of the moon and another 2 weeks getting the rest of the power moons. Seems like a lot of folks are rushing through the game and not really taking time to even enjoy it. Just got the easy moons and moved on through the game without a second thought, yet complain the game is too easy. Insanity.

Mario Odyssey is top tier 3D Mario game. Graphics are dope. (Sand Kingdom at night is amazing BTW...) it had a nice little story mode with Cappy and his sister, attention to detail was amazing, controls were the best of any game Ive ever played. The game was easy to learn and pickup but hard to master. I honestly have no complaints about the game at all. Nintendo really is on another level right now with their game development.

Yep, it took me a lot of tries and my girlfriend hating on me, but I finished it. I even finished the volley ball game and the jump rope challenge with over 250 jumps. I was in the zone.

If the Joy Con is the issue, just send the Joy Con. A Joy Con is replacable anyway, they sell them at the stores at least once a month (expensive, but still buyable compared to an actual Switch)

You send the entire console in, your **** is gonna get erased guaranteed :smh:

Yea imma make the call and hope it's just the joy con. I can manage docked with pro controller through the week.

I had to come back to that one recently  I quit out last time I was playing I couldn't even make it back on the top just to get the first moon  smacked it yesterday tho. I think I got like 40 left and did all the hard levels. Just exploration, and the damn 100 volleyball and jump rope :smh: just gonna save those for last

This level was even more frustrating..

Rolling and still having accurate control over Mario took a lot of practice. Then you had to time your jumps perfectly or you would instantly die when the floor disappeared.
:smh:

:smh:

That's the one  I didn't roll tho only long jumps and dives

im only on the forest level
i been playing sparingly and taking my time
my son beat it
the second weekend it was out
think he has like 400 and something moons

Hardest levels for me with most frustration and most tries had to be the level bigjny88 bigjny88 is talking about and the vanishing road without the scooter

The Metro Kingdom's version of the "invisible road" with the scooter......still haven't completed it yet. :smh:

I have yet to finish either of those levels.............I've only managed the original Breakdown Road level from the Cascade Kingdom, and that's 'cuz I relied on Cappy's possession ability to bail my *** on that one. Without Cappy.........this is "Grandmaster Galaxy" levels of difficulty right here.

I was legitimately wondering if I would be able to beat vanishing road  I haven't gotten the continuous rolling down, so I just do long jumps for long stretches.

They weren't kidding when they say "motion controls" with Splatoon 2 is like "mouse and keyboard" for any FPS...........wow, my aim is so much better with motion

I will start this off by saying I was the one who leaked TMNT and Enchantress being the other characters in Fighter Pack 3.

So if you want to quickly disregard that I have sources or what I am about to say, at least take what I am saying into consideration before you quickly doubt it. I have multiple sources and for multiple things and developers, so if you're wondering how I am knowledgeable of these things, I cannot quite get into that, but what I do allows me to have these contacts. I will split this into sections by company.

CAPCOM:

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition:

Season 3 characters include Sakura, Sagat, Cody, Sodom, 2 newcomers (I heard 2 Final Fight newcomers from one source, but Roxy and a Shadaloo Doll from another)

I have a third source since I originally posted that, and they have conflicting information regarding the characters in Season 3. They claim that the Season 3 characters include Sakura, Sagat, and Cody (which is the common thread I have realized), but Blanka, the neo Shadaloo woman from Ed's story with the bo staff weapon, and "The President" as the other three characters instead.
The President is a character they had in mind since Street Fighter IV, but shared a design for him from during Street Fighter V's development online before they had decided to scrap and shelf the character. Here is the concept art for him: http://media.eventhubs.com/images/2016/05/01_chara02.jpg

There will also be free characters added as part of the update (no one seems to know when exactly) which are Crimson Viper, Q, Necro, and Oro.

Critical Arts were supposed to be added upon its launch, but I am hearing they are probably saving it for later. Color Edit Mode is something I was told that's going to be a new feature added. Those concerned with input lag, those fixes will most likely not be added until Season 4 or around halfway in to 3 to implement. If you did not know, Unreal Engine 4 only recently put out the update, and it requires quite some time to fix. It would take somewhere around half a year (maybe more) to both port and then debug everything. The backporting is not the hard part, it's debugging that is so time consuming. The same thing applies to other fighting games that currently use it and have issues with it like Tekken 7, and even Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Marvel vs Capcom Infinite are included having it and needing updated, but will take time to do. The whole process takes time.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite:

Season 2 as of the last update I heard from various sources compiled together will be Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, Asura, Gill, and Lady, but the last character is one not everyone I've heard from has been able to agree on. There being multiple characters in development is likely to blame. The majority of them say Rashid while others have said Regina and one even said Apollo Justice.

Here's where things get really interesting. All the characters that I've heard that are in development (to various extents and from multiple sources, but not all saying the same things I might add, which is something strange in and of itself) include: Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, Green Goblin, Wolverine, Cyclops, Psylocke, Magneto, Storm, Deadpool, Doctor Doom, Daredevil, Asura, Lady, Gill, Rashid, Captain Commando, Nina, Deis, Regina, Gene, Vergil, Akuma, and Apollo Justice.

I did notice the curious aspect of that being 11 Marvel characters and 12 Capcom. Which would line up with the current unevenness. But when you add it all up, that's 23 characters, not 24. Meaning there's still a Capcom character I don't know about, since adding these all up carries it all the way to Season 5 if it's all in fact true and all the sources are correct in different ways.

Four player 2 vs 2 mode is being added to the game, but I'm not sure when that is exactly going to be implemented.

I will say that despite the controversies with Marvel and the Fantastic Four in games lately, I haven't heard anything regarding scrapping Doom completely from the plans. While he isn't in the plans for next year from what I've been told, it's not conclusive as to his exclusion in the long term.
I guess it could be up to some people's interpretation what that means since he's not being added next year despite his popularity and all, but I wouldn't look too far into it just yet.

This next section for MvCI gets absolutely wild and so I am dedicating its own section to it. I have one source that's told me some stuff that I feel I have to share in the event it is true, but it is pretty out there. Do not take me as backing all of this either. I'm just putting it out there in the event this has ANY TRUTH TO IT later. They claim the game will get a free update sometime around the summer of 2018 that adds Deadpool, Wolverine, Daredevil, Akuma, Gene, and Vergil as free characters.
I will add that I was told by that same person that Regina was originally axed similarly to Ant-Man since both were actually planned to make it, but things came up that resulted in their discarding. Ant-Man in particular was due to technical issues like Frank West's on MvC3. I'm not totally sure what Regina's issue was, but I was told half jokingly that "it might be because of too many gun users." In spite of that, Ant-Man and Regina could pop up as DLC down the line since "some degree of work was done on her at an earlier point," and supposedly was picked back up on from what I've been told in Regina's case notably. And I was told she would/is going to be used to kind of crosspromote a Dino Crisis reboot. No one told me anything about Ant-Man since he was scrapped. But if the work is done and they wanted to approach him differently, I don't see why he couldn't make it back in. I've just heard nothing in regards to it yet. This same source was the only one who told me about Apollo Justice, which they claim is "unique" and utilizes Athena and Trucy in his moveset to some extents.

They go on to claim game is also going to get some kind of patch to fix the graphics and art style to improve the visuals. The UI is included in things being touched up with that.
When it comes to the roster, their goal is for MvCI to have "between 58 to 60 characters." Some things they're looking into adding include a Tournament Mode and a playable and balanced Ultron-Sigma patched in. A noteworthy thing about that is that they have some idea where you can have a boss character be your assist to compensate for no second character when playing as Ultron-Sigma.
Some more story-related content is of course being planned, with additional content being added to the current story mode, and a brand new one announced at SDCC 2018, with plans of that new story stuff being added sometime around late 2018 to Spring 2019 at the absolute latest. I'll end this section by throwing in something strange (if what they claim wasn't already) that I was told of by that same source, and it's so dumb that if it is rooted in fact, I am utterly stupefied by it. They say that early on, Capcom apparently wanted a Power Stone character. In particular Edward Falcon or Rouge, but they were specifically set on Falcon. Marvel ultimately turned him down because "they didn't want confusion with their Falcon." They said that for whatever reason, Capcom didn't fight them on it (which comes as no surprise there given how the roster turned out if this is true) or decide to go with Rouge instead as the Power Stone rep. That's all I got from that source, so now I can finally move on from this game's section.

Resident Evil 2 Remake:

It is a third-person game. You should finally see something from it next year if they don't put something out around the very end of the year, but I'm hearing next year.

Devil May Cry 5:

This will finally be announced at PSX. Dante, Vergil, and Nero will all be playable on the game. I don't know if that will be confirmed at PSX in particular alongside the reveal, but multiple sources have informed me that all three characters are on it and you can play as them.

BANDAI NAMCO:

Dragon Ball FighterZ:

3 of the DLC characters I've heard of include Broly, Base form Goku (it was noted to me that he does use the Spirit Bomb), and Base form Vegeta. I am clarifying by calling them "Base form" instead of "Regular" since that confused people originally despite being the same thing. Their inclusion is something I know is going to be highly controversial and I will get into why further down.

More characters that I know about but not all of their statuses of launch or DLC are Bardock (whom I originally heard would be DLC, but that was only from one source that I have never heard back from), Raditz (I was told that he'd be DLC by only one source in particular), Zarbon (that same source that says that Raditz is DLC claims Zarbon is in, but no clarification if he's launch or DLC), and Goku Black (in his Rose form, no clarification if launch or DLC)

Beerus and Hit are launch roster characters though.

I was told that Goku Black was even finished 3 months ago, and that Broly, Base form Goku, and Base form Vegeta were finished during the game's main development with Goku Black. I think people should make some noise if those 3 (or 4 if Goku Black is withheld) were made alongside the launch game, but are going to be held back as DLC like I've been told.

With the controversy out of the way, there is a Switch port in the works. Unreal Engine 4's UE4.15 is Switch-friendly, so that may explain why the Switch port is coming later. I do not know what Unreal Engine 4 version it uses for the others. The much demanded Nintendo Switch version will likely come out next year in the autumn or winter.
For some personal history, the season pass was originally leaked to me as some exclusive pass featuring saiyans (I originally heard about Broly and Bardock being DLC characters). Since the FighterZ Pass was revealed, I've heard much more since originally leaking those two. I've been told the game will be supported for 2 years by multiple sources. I don't know if that pass of 8 characters accounts for the first year or both. I am going to assume it means just the first year. Bandai Namco is reportedly, according to the people I have talked to, taking a very serious approach with this game having a lengthy life and long term support. Including an esports push.
I have a few different sources regarding this game as I said. Every source that I've talked to has told me that Broly, Base form Goku, and Base form Vegeta have all been heard about and agreed upon as being DLC.

Soul Calibur VI:

I was told it'll be for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. There was no Xbox One version mentioned to me yet at least. The game should be revealed by the end of the year and make its 21st anniversary. One trustworthy source told me it would be revealed at PSX. But I have since heard back from them that for whatever reason they might be pulling out of revealing it at PSX. As you may know, Bandai Namco is not listed as part of PSX as of this moment, but Sony themselves saying the list "is not final, as to not ruin surprises."

So they may be doing this to bait-and-switch people regarding SCVI, or even revealing it at The Game Awards the day before PSX, which they think might have happened for some reason (in hopes of getting even more eyes on it maybe?) If not either The Game Awards or PSX, then they will simply do it some other time in December in general like I originally heard before I heard the PSX thing being the plan. But I feel it is either happening at The Game Awards or PSX due to all the hype surrounding a game that does exist and people are very excited for since my leak especially.

The series' anniversary is in December, as December 20th is its console anniversary in particular, as it will be its 21st anniversary (its arcade anniversary is its 22nd next month, but they strangely do not observe the arcade anniversary) so December as far as I know is still the plan for its reveal to make good on not doing so last year and having enough ready to present via trailer. I think it'd be dumb if they pulled out of a reveal at PSX, but if they are doing it the day before at The Game Awards, it doesn't matter. Though they could simply confirm another character just to have something to show if they are in fact part of PSX after revealing it at TGA. They would be at one or the other, probably not both. Not unless they reveal the PS4 exclusive character at PSX. I haven't heard anything about one yet, but it would probably be foolish to think it wouldn't wind up having one if my Switch source for Soul Calibur VI is in fact correct because that will have a guest. Either way, I have more reason to believe that console exclusive characters are happening again rather than not due to all of this.

I feel I'm rambling at this point, but am personally going to go with it revealed at either The Game Awards or PSX, likely not showing up at both unless it is announced at The Game Awards first then revealing a PS4 exclusive character at PSX. Otherwise, it is probably only showing up at one of them, then they revealing something else (character or characters, particularly classic ones tied to its legacy) on its anniversary for or around December 20th.

If the Switch version is not announced in a matter of fact way alongside it like multiplatform games do when revealed at a specific console's events, then it should be announced during the Nintendo Direct in January that I keep hearing about. The source who told me about the Switch version is different from the one who originally told me of the game's existence, I might add. They also told me that Link would return as a guest character on that version. I have since met someone else who is aware of Soul Calibur VI's existence in detail who says it might be a Fire Emblem character instead. Unless.... the Switch version is getting two Nintendo guest characters? That does make me wonder. I doubt it. But that is food for thought for now.

One of the reasons that Soul Calibur VI was never revealed for its anniversary last year in December, even though they were building up to a reveal even as late as the fall of last year was because they ran into technical issues that sent the game into a mini development hell of sorts. The game was still in the motion capture stage even back in May of this year. The thing I heard that was the cause or most likely cause for the delay was the implementation of some kinda moveset or style switching thing in particular (like having multiple movesets per character, weapons even for some from my understanding). Since that not working out how they wanted was such a big deal to its direction and draw to the game, delaying it until they either figured it out or decided to ultimately nix it was something they went back-and-forth on but was retained in a certain capacity, however. You will understand what I mean by this eventually.

Some other things concerning the game itself that I know about and can say is that Kilik is back and uses his staff moveset again, not the Weapon Master thing that everyone hated on SCV. He will have a new rival too. Gameplay and mechanically, Supers are back and as far back as July, there was some kind of universal mechanic like V-Triggers. It will have a huge focus on story elements too.

NINTENDO:

There has been pressure towards Game Freak to get Pokemon's 8th Generation out in hopes of a release next year. If you recall Pokemon Stars, that is (or was) real, but all it was was a Sun and Moon port to the Switch, used as an engine test tech demo thing.

Metroid Prime 4 should have something revealed with some in-game footage early next year from what I've heard. I'm hearing that Direct in January particularly. Bandai Namco is developing the game for Nintendo. I don't know which development studio.

There is some kind of new Animal Crossing that they hope to release next year too.

The Switch's Virtual Console will not be like how it currently is known to be like. There is some kind of a subscription service of sorts in the works.

Mother 3 is real. According to my source, it was completely localized and playable. The sad thing that I've heard is that it is being held back for some reason, which all I know has something to do with not knowing which month to release it in.

According to one of my sources, they claim that Square Enix is doing The World Ends With You 2 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

Blizzard is preparing a Hearthstone port for the Switch. I'm not sure when this will be announced due to the phrasing, but I heard about this when I went to Blizzcon.

Batman The Telltale Series is still $19.99 on Gamestop.

Thinking about taking a chance and getting This is the police while it's on sale on the e-shop for $23

Got my daughter one for Christmas. I bought Just Dance....can y'all recommend a good 2nd game? I was thinking Mario Kart

Oh man that sucks about the vc. You shouldn't have to pay extra to use it when it's been free forever. Nintendo being greedy?

What's with the hype behind Metroid Prime? I've never met anybody IRL who was a fan but I know people went nuts when 4 was announced.

Also I think I seen these leaks in reddit or ResetERA. It seems too good to be true

The 128GB memory card I copped on sale from Best Buy a couple of weeks ago took a 2 week detour to Philly.. smh

Never choosing free shipping from them again. Didn't know it would be transferred to USPS for them to ship.. seems like a lot could go wrong.. and it did.

Had to open up a claim through USPS, otherwise it would've just sat wherever it ended up. Thought for sure somebody from the post office swiped it :rolleyes

All these vids ya'll posting of post game Odyssey reminds me of 64. This is all I wanted Odyssey to be. Obviously not for the entire game to be that hard but more of a challenge and to provide a feeling of accomplishment.

Also I'm addicted to watching speedruns of this game. I mostly watch Trihex who's currently routing a 500 moon run. I finally replaced Mario Maker as my Twitch game
