He mailed it in with 3 minutes left. Instead of driving to the basket and try to draw a foul, he took lackadaisical jumpers and deferred. Quit may be the wrong word, but he mailed it in at the end.

Nah great mood actually.

You seem to be your usual pleasant self.

The John Cena of S&T always has to be positive and pleasant :{

Cleveland fan how was the mood of the city? Depressed or angry? Saw it coming? I didn't hear of any shenanigans so hopefully everyone was chill

I just can't believe anyone is gassing his numbers. One of the worst shooting performances from a star (if not THE worst) in a series. But he got to 40 so it's ok? Highest usage rate in over a decade. Praise his assists? Fought for maybe 1 or 2 rebounds per game... Against a team playing small ball. Praise his rebounding numbers. I just don't get it.

So you thought his performance was.....average?

All true. But I still say he quit. Those 2 "nobody really cares" 3 pointers at the end of the 4th sealed it for me. And we already know his history of quitting. #quitness

I may not agree with you on everything but you're no Cena :x

Lol, JR Smith gave more life to the Cavs towards the end than anything else, if JR had made his last attempted 3, could've been interesting

Real Talk .. To say Lebron is a scrub is BS. He's not a scrub, he is an elite player. He has led his team to playoff on his own and I understand that.

When he has help or his determine to go into the hole is damn near unstoppable.

With that said, he is not the first player to do this. Other have lead their team with similar talent. Maybe not won it all but def taken them there.

They don't cry as much as Lebron and they don't put their foot on their mouth.

If Howard could take a team to the playoffs I would be trash talking him too.

Let's stop the comparison, Lebron is not the best ever and he is def not no MJ. Everything Lebron is doing MJ did and better.

It was way earlier than that, 3rd QTR he was at the top of the key and out by the 3 point line. Not even trying to get into the offense. He checked out in the 3rd.

Best compliment you've ever given me :lol

Chester tagged me with that name. Well all in all I don't watch much basketball until the playoffs but I thoroughly enjoyed the playoffs. Need to pick a team and try to follow more specifically, Spurs are always my default team to like but I don't do more than just root for them

*searches post for word "average" *

Nothing about his performance was average. He put up 2k my player numbers. That's not necessarily a good thing. I'm saying those numbers gassed. Like I said last week, who CAN'T average 40 when shooting 40 shots with 10 FTA per game? Who can't get 9 assists in 40 minutes and the ball is ALWAYS in their hands?

Wait. Hold up. A Bulls fan complaining about a player being arrogant? The man that has his own sub-forum here was even worse b...
wink.gif

You must be young and grew up on the Hinrich and Gordon era...
Jordan was never 1/10th this arrogant. Reference the video going around about being the "best in the world" and how MJ handled the question.
Yes he was. He just wasn't this arrogant on camera while he was playing. HOF speech it all came out.

"There is no 'I' in team but there is an 'I' in win."

bruh I'm a hater and I been saying this, but are you a hater as well?

I keep saying, that being the leader and scorer, I wouldn't expect anything else.

Just like Kobe now and hitting 81 ... Is the only player that could and should ...

yeah he really just wasn't who he should have been down the stretch. he called himself the best player in the world so why isn't he leaving it all on the floor? he's going home after the game anyway, might as well lose going nuclear.

Oh, I seen the defeat in his eyes after the last timeout. I'm not a big Lebron supporter but he tried, just came up short. There's been times where he all but walked off the court during regulation when his team was on the brink of defeat. Looking at his face at certain moments he looked as if he was thinking "I got nothing left"

Random thought:

It's kind of funny how older heads or maybe not old, but nostalgic heads are afraid of evolution. This Warrior team is better than any team Jordan ever faced int he finals. Dead srs. Won't admit it though because of nostalgia.

So are we going to act like the 90-91 Lakers didn't have 5 starters averaging double figures, two of them who averaged about 20 PPG, also along with having two players coming off the bench averaging 10 PPG? 8o

I'll give you 91-92 Portland, they were on their last leg, but the Bulls ran through the league that year so it didn't matter who they played.

92-93 Suns >>>>>> 2014-15 Warriors. Did you forget Sir Charles was the MVP that year, the Suns had 7 guys averaging 12+ PPG, and they won 62 games? They had so many weapons that year, surprised that MJ was able to make it out of that one with a chip. That Suns team was LOADED.

I'll give the Warriors the edge over the 95-96 Sonics, but again, the Bulls ran through the league that year so it didn't matter who they played.

The 97 & 98 Jazz teams were really good, but I could see a series with this current Warriors team going either way, they'd probably split if they played back to back.

Nostalgia has nothing to do with it, let's not get carried away and act like Golden State was the best NBA FINALS team in the past 25 years :{

DUDES OUT HERE ACTING LIKE MJ DIDN'T FACE 4 TEAMS THAT WON 60+ GAMES IN THE FINALS :{ .. the DISRESPECT in order to anoint their new hero LeBae :{

Serious questions, were you old enough to watch the 1st three Bulls championship runs? If so, were you just watching the finals or the actual regular season too? 8o The same two question apply to the 2nd three peat as well.

Nah calling someone Cena is fighting words :lol

Great playoffs, I'm really hoping SA doesn't get LMA or that team is gonna be a problem.

he prob didn't have anything left but you still gotta go down fighting you can't mail in a game.

Btw, did anyone catch, during the last time out, Lebron looked like he wasn't going to get up until someone tugged on his arm to get up

There are things Lebron does better on the court than MJ did There are things MJ did on the court better than Lebron. They are SUCH different players. MJ was art. He was a masterpiece. You can't really compare someone to it. His career was almost storybook. Lebron is a physical freak of nature who is great at what he does and is still playing. He will never eclipse MJ. To be compared to him is truly the highest compliment a modern player can hope to achieve.
