You don't think mj was this arrogant cause there wasn't the same media exposure back then as there is now. No fb ig YouTube twitter nothing like that.
100% wrong. I was a huge MJ fan growing up and watched countless games, press conferences, interviews, etc and still do to this day. MJ was a soft spoken and humble guy off the court. I wouldn't have liked him as much if he had LBJ's unfounded arrogance. Show me a clip where MJ said something that obnoxious?

yeah he really just wasn't who he should have been down the stretch. he called himself the best player in the world so why isn't he leaving it all on the floor? he's going home after the game anyway, might as well lose going nuclear.

Totally agree, drop 50+ at least.

So are we going to act like the 90-91 Lakers didn't have 5 starters averaging double figures, two of them who averaged about 20 PPG, also along with having two players coming off the bench averaging 10 PPG? 8o

I'll give you 91-92 Portland, they were on their last leg, but the Bulls ran through the league that year so it didn't matter who they played.

92-93 Suns >>>>>> 2014-15 Warriors. Did you forget Sir Charles was the MVP that year, the Suns had 7 guys averaging 12+ PPG, and they won 62 games? They had so many weapons that year, surprised that MJ was able to make it out of that one with a chip. That Suns team was LOADED.

I'll give the Warriors the edge over the 95-96 Sonics, but again, the Bulls ran through the league that year so it didn't matter who they played.

The 97 & 98 Jazz teams were really good, but I could see a series with this current Warriors team going either way, they'd probably split if they played back to back.

Nostalgia has nothing to do with it, let's not get carried away and act like Golden State was the best NBA FINALS team in the past 25 years :{

DUDES OUT HERE ACTING LIKE MJ DIDN'T FACE 4 TEAMS THAT WON 60+ GAMES IN THE FINALS :{ .. the DISRESPECT in order to anoint their new hero LeBae :{

Serious questions, were you old enough to watch the 1st three Bulls championship runs? If so, were you just watching the finals or the actual regular season too? 8o The same two question apply to the 2nd three peat as well.
people don't know about this man ...

Like I said the east back then was what the west is now. They beat the best teams from start to finish.

The reason why Michael didn't win championship before Pippen was because he was getting murder out there. Every time he drove he was fouls hard ... Like the **** that gets you kicked out the game now and still he made the **** interesting.

Don't recall this many people coming to Kidd's aid when he battled the Spurs in the Finals.  Believe that too went six games and was locked up after the first four games.  In time, nobody will remember Bron's otherworldly #'s.  Similiarly they'll never forget GSW's championship.

He mailed it in with 3 minutes left. Instead of driving to the basket and try to draw a foul, he took lackadaisical jumpers and deferred. Quit may be the wrong word, but he mailed it in at the end.

All true. But I still say he quit. Those 2 "nobody really cares" 3 pointers at the end of the 4th sealed it for me. And we already know his history of quitting. #quitness

Oh, I seen the defeat in his eyes after the last timeout. I'm not a big Lebron supporter but he tried, just came up short. There's been times where he all but walked off the court during regulation when his team was on the brink of defeat. Looking at his face at certain moments he looked as if he was thinking "I got nothing left"
he prob didn't have anything left but you still gotta go down fighting you can't mail in a game.

Without a doubt, especially claiming to be the best athlete in the world. I know I've harped on that few times already but u can't make bold statements like that and then digress in a game this big. Dialing it back during the regular season, maybe, but not when you're at home and your team is down 3-2 in the series.

Btw, did anyone catch, during the last time out, Lebron looked like he wasn't going to get up until someone tugged on his arm to get up

Mike Miller probably sounded like Simba trying to revive Mufasa at that point "C'mon Lebron, get up."

I honestly think lebron gave up this game 6 because he didn't want some of those bums to get a ring of his muscle. Not saying he could've came out of nowhere and saved the day but once he realized everything was going down hill he used his teammates as a human shield. Iman Shumpert is so trash it doesn't even make sense

Excuses made for Lebron, then those are turned around to make Jordan mythical :lol :lol please. You think Lebron is a ****boy, cool, there's legit reasons to feel like that. Jordan is one as well, and a scambag, and a self-hating cornball. He just happened to trailblaze the shoe industry when we were all anywhere from 5-13 years old.

If they had social media back in mj days he woulda been crucified

Son was a douche, had a gambling problem, and cheated on his wife for over a decade.

Made lebron look like a saint
guarantee dudes are doing this now. I 'm with whomever it was that said mike would have been fine in today's nba with the media. people knew mike had a different woman in each city back then but so what. yall think dudes aren't doing this now? no one knew kobe was doing whatever until those allegations. james harden doesn't get crucified ('cept for on NT) and it's 1/1 odds he's in the strip club on any given night before a game.

Lulz

I think if Lebron was a more likable person people would be praising his 6 finals appearances and not focusing on his 4 losses. I also believe the sports media, and a lot of people on here, have romanticized Jordan's career to a point where we want to witness that sort of greatness again vicariously through Lebron, but that isn't, and wasn't, ever gonna happen.

Lebron isn't Jordan, Kobe isn't Jordan, etc. don't know why people can't just enjoy the NBA product in the present. So what Lebron's won 2 and lost 4. I blame ESPN for all this bogus legacy talk, it's like we can't talk about basketball without bringing up someone or something that happened 20 years ago. We just watched a great series between one of the greatest forwards of all time and one of the best shooters of all time, enjoy it for what it is.

Well, this is a new theory. Please, tell us more
I need a shot chart for Lebron in the finals

Honestly. All that talk and bravado and yesterday's game was not what we expected. It wasn't a bad game by his standards but he was on history's doorstep and he didn't chase it, he wanted it brought to him by JR smith and Timofey Mosgov. He coulda left it all out on the floor but he gave up. The self proclaimed greatest player on the planet and you got you heart snatched out your chest on your home floor :{

I said it

(A few too many times) :lol

It is hard to survive in the social media age, that's for sure. Every person is now a reporter now. Kinda scary but my Orwellian/Huxley fears are for another thread and day

Everyone wants to give him a pass because he averaged 36 this finals but at had higher hopes for that man. I thought he could've been the one man team.

He shot like 37 pct in 2007 and 39 percent in 2015

I give him a pass for 2007. I can't understand how people say this is the best we have seen LeBron play. He has set the bar so high for himself. I thought vs. Detroit, Boston, Wizards (Gilbert Arenas) was much more impressive. It seems too many people are just looking at the stat sheet; if they looked harder, the stats show major flaws.

For LeBron's sake, I hope he works on his midrange game. At age 30/31, father time is coming...

I have to reiterate how weak the Eastern conference is. I would have more sympathy for him coming up short in the finals had he and the Cavs gone through a legit "playoff." The West would have exposed the Cavs sooner.
