Remember this?

Bless his heart.

I remember back when LeBron used to be efficient and shoot higher than 40%. Those were the days.
lol ... Hahahahhaha ... Then people wonder why he is dislike so much.

He's been like that since HS though. We just liked a well confident guy, but now in the pros and you been in the league for how many years and only 2 ring? Change your tune.

Like I said he's return home letter was not written by him ... No freaking way. Dude doesn't have the mental capacity to be humble.

Steph not getting a single vote was od. The way I see it, the offense don't run without Steph. It's because the Cavs have to trap Steph on any pick and roll action that any Dub gets any open shot. Literally, the same thing kept happening over and over again. The Cavs trap Steph - he passes it deftly to Draymond - Draymond either takes it straight to the hoop, shoots or dishes off to Iggy or Barnes - one of them is always open

That all starts with Steph having to be trapped.

Those 20 points that Iggy gets is because of Steph getting trapped, pretty much

All of this is factual. Steph was the MVP of the series. Iggy did a great job on defense obviously but they were literally ignoring him on offense because Steph bends an entire defense unlike anyone else in the league.

But I look forward to Mister Friendly continuing to act like so-called "experts" can never make a mistake and every award that's handed out is an infallible truth handed down straight from the hand of God himself. Maybe Steph can get the consolation prize of a Starting Lineup figure.

It would have been interesting to see Kobe under these circumstances. My man would have legit shot the ball 60 times
laugh.gif

Or less than 10 after all the media scrutiny about him shooting it 60 times

not in the finals. it's 35 at the minimum.

I don't agree with this was ugly to watch because the cavs were out numbered. It wasn't lebron vs the warriors from the regular season or them on paper. MDelly had more good games than Klay Thompson. Tristan Thompson averaged a double double or something real close to it. Mosgov played well too and was totally looked over in game 5. If Lebron was so tired they should have slowed the ball down and gotten it inside to their bigs where they had a clear advantage. Draymond Green was ghost for most or at least half the series. And Steph had a couple of bad games too. This series would have been ugly if all of the Warriors showed up, but they didn't. Cavs had enough to win this series. The night Mosgov had 1st team all NBA numbers Lebron goes 7 for 20 something. If he showed up maybe they're the team with the 3-2 lead going into game 6. Those dudes from the Cavs can't be expected to show up every night. If they did that, they would be labeled as good. Klay was the only 'good' that didn't show up.

I also think Steph shoulda won MVP but I'm not exactly mad at Iggy winning either as he was indispensable.

You could see Steph was kinda disappointed when it happened though, faces always tell the truth.

Lebron really did do his thing. Makes it all the more sweeter to see him lose anyway. He chose this playpen. Let him roll around in the mud.

I wonder if he was starting to feel bad about getting rid of Wiggins:p

Wiggins would've flourished in this small ball series for sure. With LeBron getting all the attention, what would Wiggins have left to do but prosper

I honestly think lebron gave up this game 6 because he didn't want some of those bums to get a ring of his muscle. Not saying he could've came out of nowhere and saved the day but once he realized everything was going down hill he used his teammates as a human shield. Iman Shumpert is so trash it doesn't even make sense

:lol

So were gonna ignore the fact that Iggy made those big shots while open ?

Your argument is flawed as hell Iggy played great defense and forced Lebron into taking terrible shots  missing a crapload of shots at the rim forcing him to shoot 38% from the floor

Son was +62 while he was on the floor and defended multiple positions

Inserting him in the starting lineup basically changed the tone of the series

He basically mitigated Klay's poor performance because his stellar defense and clutch shooting

No, nobody is ignoring that. He deserves credit. He wasn't more valuable than Steph Curry though.

Mind bottling to me that anyone who actually watched this series closely could say Iggy didn't deserve MVP. He was by far the most consistent Warrior. Never had a bad game and had big, timely moments on both sides of the ball. Eagle Dollar earned that MVP.

Still baffled that steph didn't receive a vote for finals MVP
Not that it was a bad thing that he won, but it was as close to a conspiracy as you could get. It fit the story line. Every reporter started off with  "after not starting an entire game all season......"

He won because he stepped up  in Klay's absence and for his sacrifice for coming off the bench as a vet who could still start in other places. He provided a spark and made some nice plays on LeBron in key moments. People want to say he held Bron to 30 something percent from the field when he guarded him but are forgetting LeBron shot 30 something % from the field for the entire series. His best stat line was probably from last night and step equaled his point total and had more assists and rebounds than he did last night. It was just a good story line for him to win and if I had to guess, Steph doesn't care and was probably in favor of it.

bruh if that was Lebron everyone would be saying look athe masterful performance. He is getting all his teammates wide open shots, he is doing the best basketball play, loom how he draws the double and wonderfully pass it to his teammates. This is what we call an unselfish player ... This performance would go down as one for the ages.

Media ....

But I'm not mad at Iggy, he was a spark ..

LeBron averaged 13.3 Rebound Per Game. That's pretty amazing.

But when you look at the actual stats 67.5% of his rebounds came with nobody else contesting the rebound. That's 9 Rebound Per Game where he got a rebound simply because he was playing near the hoop and nobody else was around him.

But it's not all bad. He was absolutely amazing passing the ball. High usage, high assist total, and didn't turn it over very much at all. And he controlled the pace in the 2 games they won.

Does Cleveland bring back Earl if he opts out? I wouldn't. Guy thinks he deserves a raise. He was awful in the Finals and didn't do much in the playoffs. I would let him walk. He's talented but he's an imbecile.

At the end of the day, they both lost

If any other MVP in league history outscored the #2 scorer on his team by 10 ppg, he'd be named finals MVP.

Iggy was certainly deserving because Barnes & Klay just aren't strong enough to handle Bron for a full game. So Iggy's defense was just as important as anything his teammates did on offense & he chipped in offensively as well.

However.... :lol the MVP of the league averaged 26/5/6 in the series, they gave finals MVP to the guy who averaged 16/6/4.

I'm just surprised the voters actually cared about defense for the first time ever.

ouch ... Where are the empty stats praisers at?

i still don't get how you give a role player the Finals MVP. GSW wouldn't have an effective offense without Steph Curry

I mean it was the drastic nature that the series swung when Iggy was put into the Starting Lineup. And how much he hampered LeBron.

Game 3-6 Iggy averaged 20.3 / 7 / 4 / 2... .478/ .409 / .348 :lol Seriously what happened to his FT shot?

Why people are still dwelling on MVPs?Scew and MVP, the game is played for the championship. Of course not Lebron he rather not make the playoff than loose in the finals, but he won't turn down his MVP trophy.
