NT, convince me "cutting the cord" is a good idea

Bro - pls edit ur post re:ppv. Meth already chimed in here.

Google p2p addon xbmc...look for the thread at xbmc.org

Yes - you can watch boxing in HD. Like i said its using torrent sharing via acestream

Is there a url for that repository or do I have to manually install it?

p2p-streams isn't downloading. At first it shot up to 80% real quick and disappeared. At another point 0% and now it just doesn't respond to install.

I don't remember if I read it here or on XMBC. But there was a list of things you should install on your Chromebox and a summary for the reason. Could someone help me out. I want to get my Chromebox working right before the end of the day

All the steps are in the Chromebox Wiki to get it going for you:  http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Chromebox

My suggestion is once you have it running OpenElec, add the Fusion Repo and start installing add-ons.  Here are my favorites:

- p2p sports

- veetle

- 1channel

- genesis

- chromium browser

- youtube

- icefilms

Good luck!!

Dish is Launching SlingTV which offers a stripped down network package for $20. http://www.cnet.com/news/dish-launc...ith-channel-lineup-that-includes-espn-disney/

The $20 Sling TV base package includes ESPN, ESPN2, Disney Channel, ABC Family, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, TNT, CNN, TBS, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and the "best of Internet video" with Maker Studios. Add-on packs with additional kids and news programming will be available for $5 each.

Lynch said the launch channel lineup was set, but the lineup would evolve over time and other channels would be added. :smokin

Sounds Promising

was looking at cutting my dish service, this might keep me on with them

Between Sling and Playstation Vue I feel like cutting the cord is becoming even more of a possibility for mainstream consumers.

If MTV/vh1/bet is included I'm all for it

I just need to be able to watch a few sports and awards shows. Everything else, I can use hulu and ****.

My current situation is Amazon fire TV loaded with kodi 14.0, show box, and fios mobile.

Kodi gives me any and all movies, TV shows, and international live streams, show box is there as a back up if I'm feeling lazy or if kodi is down. And fios mobile for live streaming in HD if the channel Isn't available on kodi or if fios mobile is just an easier option.

Lucky for me fraternity back in college has a fios, HBO, showtime, and Cinemax account so for the time being I've got access to all of them and I'm not paying for cable.

frenchbreadbuilds frenchbreadbuilds Explain this Kodi to me I really aint familiar. It sounds like it may be better than showbox/ moviebox, which would be great.

Are those new Amazon firesticks that are jailbroken, worth buying on eBay for $80 ?

Spend the extra 20 bucks and get the Amazon fire tv not the stick. It takes all of 10 minutes to figure out how to install the proper apps and install them.

just get the Asus Chromebox ya'll.   it runs openelec/kodi flawlessly.

Hmm didn't know that XBMC could be side loaded into Fire TV that just became a lot more appealing.

Is there a difference between the Amazon Fire stick & the Amazon Fire tv? Being both are jailbroken?
