Get an older ios device

Jailbreak

acquire UK apple username. Download nfl game pass and nba app from uk app store
apply hacks using FLEX app located in Cydia.. These apps can then be casted in hi def to your tv via apple tv or chromecast

For Espn:

Best thing i can tell you is to get login info from parents or a friend that have a cable provider with ESPN included.. My friend's mom has EVERYTHING on her subscription so i use the watch espn app on apple tv, the disney app, the showtime app, the hbo app etc..

Everything else is taken care of by netflix and Hulu

.....FLOURISH

Y'all got good set ups. I guess I'm too cheap to get a service. I just wait till the next day and watch it on free sites. Some free sites have live sports too.

Run Kodi and use addons like sportsdevil, dextertv, and other IPTVs that are readily available. You can watch that all in 720p.

As for Slingtv, i have discounted accounts. PM if interested.

Someone educate me on Amazon fire/stick and the pros and cons of that vs chrome box, etc.

January my contract is up so the cord going bye bye.

Well I'm sure some will say one is better than the other but I've been using the Amazon Fire TV for close to a year now and I love it. I've got it loaded with Netflix and Amazon instant video which is cool but I also have it loaded with Kodi, so I've got any movie and every show at my fingertips including current episodes.

Yeah I definitely recommend it. And Since its an android based system I have it running the Verizon Fios Mobile app as well so I can watch about 80 or so live channels as well although you need access to an account to log into. Plus Kodi has AirPlay built in so I can also stream from my phone to my TV which surprisingly comes in pretty handy as well.

Anyone want to drop info on a rooted firestick? 8o been hearing about them lately from different people and i guess its been out a while, late train i know :lol

Last time I checked unless you have a fire TV/stick that hasn't been updated since the first dropped they're both unrootable unless you open it up and do some soldering on the Storage chip. But as someone who has the Amazon Fire TV I don't see why you would need to root it

It has kodi 15.2 and can come with live sports, movies, tv shows, ppv etc. Pretty much everything pre-installed and plug and play. Just seeing if anyone has it and if its too good to be true and reliable.

I'm ruining Kodi on my Amazon fire TV and it's not rooted..

Yeah I'm wondering the same. It's a good $55-$60 to drop on one and no way to get reimbursed if it doesn't work for you. I'm considering doing the same thing but just wanted to know how big of a gamble it is. Right now I have a chrome cast and while its great to have Sling work on it now, it sucks quality-wise. Lags like crazy, picture goes in and out constantly and then sometimes it just completely freezes up. Was thinking it's gotta be better on a direct steaming device

Just buy the Amazon fire TV/stick and load it with content yourself. No need to pay extra in my opinion

Definitely go with the fire TV over the stick, also the nexus player is a great option too. I have the fire stick and it's been very buggy with kodi on it. Waiting for black Friday for a deal on the nexus player.

Even if it doesnt work im pretty sure you can readd all the content yourself. Just trying to research before i cop. Leaning towards of doing it after watching youtube vids

Moving into a new place and I am not even considering getting cable. I can't remember the last time I watched something on it. Internet and smart TV is all I need.
