Its a long time coming for this area. Hopefully the keep it stocked with what we like to buy.

no date, but passed by recently and its still covered in paper.

Im just looking for good NW spots to try and cop Black/Cement Iv's early. Relatively new to the NW DC area so if anyone had any advice, appreciated

I don't think it's supposed to be a "NikeTown".

I noticed Nike putting up these huge retail stores lately but w/ out the tag "NikeTown". I went to one in Santa Monica a few months ago. Similar ginormous building space...but it didn't say NikeTown.

The store front simply just reads "Nike"

An NTer got called back for an interview as one of the managers. I won't reveal dudes name, but I will say that they are now opening employment applications for people looking for Part Time positions.

October 25th Niketown DC opens.

Store opens October 25th.

Lots of positions available, both full time and part time. Looking forward to meeting a lot of you during the opening and hopefully working with several of you guys as well. Threw out a lot of ideas to management. This store is definitely going to announce its arrival with authority when it comes to special events, releases, and athlete appearances. Even though it's in DC, they are going to try and attract a lot of the Baltimore market since it is going to be one of the premiere stores in the area to compete with Under Armour's Mid Atlantic dominance.

HMack,

You gonna be a manager there?
What are the store policies gonna be for hyped releases like the Black/Cement IV??
Looking forward to coming by after the opening

Do you have a number or someone i can contact about my application. They said I would hear back this week and its getting close to the end.
Idk if this is a good sign or bad sign.

opening on my birthday. Sweet! too bad I won't be around I'll be down at school.

Wouldn't mind working part time here

HMack, would you happen to know what the schedule might be for a part time worker??

A Couple of Cliffnotes:

Indeed it will be a Niketown.

Will have a NikeID Studio.

Opening October 25th.

Bigger store than 21 Mercer in New York. In fact, 2x as big. (21 Mercer store is 27,000 Square Feet; Niketown DC will be 56,000 square feet)

3 levels of products, 4th floor to be dedicated to shipping.

No news about the hourly rate for people working there (for the person who PMed me asking)

No news about store hours of operation so far.

No news about what will be happening during the grand opening, but if its any consolation: The Head Coach wants the store opening to be bigger than the Reopening that took place in Chicago, so who knows that means.

My interview went really well, so I'll know my status of employment by next Friday.

What did you apply for? Part time, full time? And did they say how they'll contact you, email, phone call?

Honestly guys, apply for every position you feel that you are qualified for. Get your foot in the door. A part time job at Niketown is worth the decent hourly rate plus the discounts and perks. Plus your foot is in the door and you can expand on your position.

If it wasn't such a far drive, I'd definitely apply...

Looking forward to going there at the end of the month though.
