Is Guinness kind of bitter?

guinness.jpg

The look makes me think it'll taste bitter sense it's really dark..

I really like dark beer so I love the taste of Guinness

to me it doesn't taste bitter at all

it taste like coffee to me

i don't really find guinness to be overly bitter... for me, it tastes smokey and extremely creamy. i love it.
Also,
>>>justhotkicks<<<<br /> are you a cider drinking?

Stella Artois
Sleeman's Honey Brown
Canadian
and Granville's Winter Ale (caramel, vanilla and chocolate are added to give this beer a smooth vanilla like finish.)

Heineken (not skunked.. can't believe no one specified this!)
Sam Adams October Fest, Winter Ale, Boston Lager
Shipyard pumpkinhead
Sapporo
and Guiness

So many to choose. Hard to pick a favorite but here are some that are in steady rotation

Fat Tire
Blue Moon
Anchor Steam
Negra Modelo
Red Stripe
Shiner Bock (was on sale at my market for $5.50 per sixer so I gave it a whirl... gotta go back to see if the sale is still going)

I enjoy trying all sorts of microbrews and there are quite a few bars, brewerys, and gastropubs around my way that have a solid selection on tap but I'mnot trying to be a beer snob.

Bud Light is still my everyday chill beer.
Mickeys for old times sake.

Apparently cowboys fans and people who aren't going to vote in this historical election for b/s excuses can't read either...

hate dark stuff.

A lot of these brews...where do you find them?
Any good websites to order single bottles to sample them?

Quite the opposite. Darker beers usually have fuller, richer flavor.

Either of y'all ever had 471 Small Batch IPA?

I've seen it before, haven't tried it. It's a double, right? I enjoy full-flavored beers, will give it a shot.

justhotkicks, are you a cider drinking?

Not much, but I do enjoy a Strongbow or Magner's here and there. Goes well with some foods.

I don't know about single-bottle samples, but I always try new beers/wines when I go out. Always. I find the weirdest, most obscure brew there is, and tryit. A lot of it has to do with knowing the types of brews so you know what to expect.

i dont really have favorites but here are what i normally get.

delirium
newcastle
sopporo
tecate
sierra nevada

how are the rogue beers? my liq store has a whole bunch of different ones. i don't wanna drop 6 bucks on a huge beer that i dont like though.
