NT Uber Drivers

My brothers friend drives everyday..takes home at least $1200 wk

I'm hearing it's good to drive both uber and lyft..and just drive from airports is the least stressful..is this true? Just stick to airports?
Airport rides are the least stressful but the queues will keep you waiting awhile before a ride.

My brother does weekends only makes at least $200 each wk
He should check to see if there are bonuses. In the area I drive if I hit 25 rides I get a bonus. Then another one for 70-80 trips for the week. The bonuses should be enough to cover gas fill ups.

Thx bro -Repped I will tell him now

**i hear the airport queues are quick cuz of so many ppl

If you sign up to uber, I'm pretty sure you'll get $100 if you use a referral code. Mine is HM2PF

Have to complete 25 trips first.

I do uber eats, I don't do it as much as I used to though.

Depends on what city you're in I think...Houston is only $50.00 refferal, and you have to complete 30 trips to get the money. In Houston Lyft hardly ever advertises, and to most people's surprise pays less than fuber...not by much though. For now I'd either do both, or stick with uber ( they just have that name behind them too) let lyft get some steam first, they just barely came back to TX then things might change. Houston was, and may still be one of only 3 cities you can now tip in the app with. Anyone in Houston wanna drive, I'll split my split my referral 50/50 with them and put you on some game you wouldn't know unless you drive for a while. It took me a while to figure out how to really make real money. Just PM me.

But how many hours is he putting in? Driving everyday is a lot. I average about $900 doing 35-40 hours 5 days.

Its tough to say cause every airport is different. I stay away from the airport just cause the queue be having 80-90 cars during the day sometimes. I'm guessing thats at least a good 30 min.

I think it's worth doing Uber if you're willing to work during surging hours. I basically do 7:30-3:30 but if I could I work do 7:30-11 and then 5-9pm.

This rarely happens but I had a pretty good morning View media item 2484777

I did it for like 3 months in between jobs. Took it's f*****g toll on my neck and back man. Sitting for that long in a car is no bueno. It also pounds on your car.

Overall it's not worth it UNLESS you need extra funds for an emergency, leisure activities/vacation or after your fired/laid off.

Thx -Repped I don't kno how many hours I will find out and the schedule..I'm hearing airports are good cuz u at least get $50 and upwards per trip

Airport trips will depend on the distance you travel and the time that you drive. Fares are always adjusted. A lot of times I'll take someone from SF to SFO and the fare is $15-$20. It's not bad for a half hour drive but the total distance is like 7 miles. It's the city congested driving that's the worst part.

That's it, I'm gonna stop *******tting and sign up. I'm gonna get my airbag light checked out and I already booked an oil change with my mechanic for this weekend. I can definitely flourish in my area instead of sitting on my *** at the crib. I live within driving distance of 3 airports :{. If mans can get a consistent $200 weekly working weekends, why can't I?! :lol

Yeah, I live about half hour west from FTL, same amount of time If I go north to WPB or south to MIA. Who has an invite code?

I live 20 mins from San Diego International Airport i'm gonna do the same thing. Need to get an oil change done this weekend or the next and after that I should be good to go

Oh and the $200 is no more than 4 hours per day for each day

checkout the r/uberdrivers subreddit..a lot of activity on there

So is there something wrong with the UberEats GPS? Because drivers can never find my spot. I always have to come out and meet them.

Half of them are just lazy and don't want to put in the legwork beyond driving from point A to point B. Those of you who fit this description, feel free to go **** yourselves.

That's part or most of it, but some people have complained about it being an invasion of privacy...being able to see in their homes and stuff... never done Uber eats, but I've heard some wild stories on the Uberpeople forum...

Do you know that if you drop off at the airport you get to jump the line for the queue? I think it's only while you're still at the terminals so I usually end the ride right when I get to Terminal 1 or Door 1 for intl. It doesn't always happen but I've had a pretty good success rate doing it.

Got all excited yesterday cause I got a 2.4x at SFO but he only needed to go to Brisbane (6 miles) so it was kinda wack

Airport trips are also cool, because you're usually transporting people originating from out of the country or state. So naturally, they're more apt to converse with you and inquire about places and attractions. I don't like the awkward silence during trips. I'd rather chat. Usually leads to better tips too. Driving people around downtown Boston is the worst because it's usually lames from State Street and the financial district with massive sticks up their a***s.

I probably got tipped 5% of the total # of trips I completed in 3 months

Huh? Invasion of privacy? I mean I just want my food but if they wanna see the pipe all they gotta do is just ask.

after reading up on the subreddit on this topic, I'm curious what you guys that are currently driving write off as taxes? Do y'all save the receipts or keep an updated spreadsheet? 8o

I'm not an uber driver but I'm familiar with self-employment..but definitely save all your receipts and document everything..a dedicated spreadsheet is the way to go
