NT, why do upstairs neighbors walk so much?

I live on the first floor and every time I hear any kind of hard walking or running, I crank my 1000w sub woofers and give them hell 

. I have three subs, one for the home theater, one hooked up to the Mac and one in the bedroom. Needless to say, every time they stomp even harder, I just blast it even louder until eventually their feet get tired and give up lol. I have a feeling they'll be either moving out soon or transferring to another apartment.
