Danbury, Stamford, what's good? Anyone check out Hat City Boutique in DB? Been in and out of there, reseller prices but only carries basketball kicks (Jordan's, Foams, LeBron's, etc.), no runners. Anyone know a good spot to cop collab. runners in DB or Stamford area?

I'm in Stamford and I would be careful with hat city.  They always say they can get any shoe in any size deadstock even shoes that are a couple years old.  As far as a good shop to pickup collab's I do not think there are many places around that really care them.  Best bet would be to check boutiques in the city.

just saw this thread. About hat city, you are going to pay a lot more than other places. Also make very sure that they are real. Been hearing bad things from reliable sources. I would not spend a dime in that place.

Yes hat city looks suspect and wayyyyyy overpriced. Same with that store in Waterbury....don't know what it is now but used to be trash house botique.

One of the owners of hat city has a bunch of high school kids fill out raffles for him at fl and fnl so he ends up with most of them and doubles price.when its first come first serve he has ton of kids in line.can't stand that place.

Sounds about right. I still loved how they rudely told me they can get any shoe full size run.

I'll be possibly moving from Miami to new haven soon. How are the shoe releases up there? Do you guys get away using the b day coupons as well? I've been really spoiled down here, hope it's not that bad besides the weather change

last time i was in stamford was a few years ago, i remember stopping in a store (belive it or not i didnt read the sign out front)

small store, very limited space. had a walk down stair case that lead to the basement on each step there was old nike boxes stacked black and red boxes.

i found an old show case with display jordan XV still on them. it was near the mall. 

asian dude was at the cash register and he called out to his homeboy "scuba Steve" 

anyone have the roughest idea of what this place was? and if so is it still around?

Question. I'll be living around that area soon. What is there to do in CT in general? I'm in my early 20s and i would like to know any good bars, clubs or the places that are good to be around.

It all depends where you go in ct and what your scene is. You have a lot of choices for nightlife. Clubs and bars are the big thing here. Sin city, van dome, gotham, club 88, too many bars to list (those are pretty segregated at times, or ran by bikers but youll be good as long as you dont look for trouble.)you always have mohegan and foxwoods, casino culture is pretty big here too. They have shows gambling clubs and great food. Micheal jordan grill bobby flays burger spot and a multi cultural all you can eat buffet. Now like i mentioned it all falls on where you go, who you know, and what crowd you hang with. Its easy to get in trouble in ct and its also very easy to stay out of it. We have gangs just like every state, projects and hoods are readily available.We have a lot of rich places with familys with very old money, we have very blue collar citys toostrip club culture is pretty big here too. Rockstars has a few locations, the cat walk, pandoras, some low key joints too... low key. Lol over all youll be bored if you want too, lots of attractions. Food, museums, aquariums, malls, ski/snowboarding mountains, skate parks, drag racing, hiking trails, yachting, off shore fishing, waterfalls, lakes, classic car shows, quassy, lake compunce, espn, farms etc etc.

I'm looking for spots that will have diversity and younger folks. I'm coming from miami and I'm 100% positive I know it will not be the same. I also thought strip clubs weren't allowed in CT

brace yourself for some culture shock.

i lived in florida, and im also in my early to mid 20's
its not the same here, but youll survive.

everyone here inter-mingles well, and as youll learn age matters very little out here.
pretty much any club youll visit will be heavily mixed in age groups.

sin city, van dome, and gotham
those are hot spots that are often on people in our age groups radar.
mohegan, it has all the check points for a good time (club, food, hotel, endless supply of liquor.. watch out for cougars)

house parties and bars are big here.
(youll find those as you meet the locals: mall, school, work, and the daily routines)

strip clubs are not banned, theyre around.
mostly tity bars (topless)
but like i said theres a few low key spots that you wont be mad at.
