Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but there doesn't HAVE to be any parallel between Joker/Obama/Socialism.
The way I see it is Obama is a joke/joker for having socialist leanings.
I'd say there is a point but nothing to get intellectual over.

If you can't laugh at this being funny on face value why can't you laugh at the ridiculousness of it?

You could also say that obama is a crimial, like the joker, like many other politican, that stoled and are stealing taxpayers' money by creating thesebailouts, govn't programs, pork, etc.
But I don't consider obama a Joker, he is more of a pawn.

i think my point would have to be that the people that are making a big deal about this know more about the joker than they do about obama and socialismcombined.

what with the design of the posters, the placement, etc... i wouldn't be surprised if somebody said, "i want to see if i can get this work spreadaround and repeated a lot. well, i'll put obama on there because he's popular and lots of people talk aobut him all the time, and then i'll add thejoker, because seriously, the joker was so cool and everybody thought he was so interesting and worth talking about, and well, hmmm, it seems like i'veheard socialism being mumbled about on cnn lately, that'll get that crowd. okay, now i'll just put them places where they're sure to get theattention of somebody who likes the joker, obama, or is scared of seeing the word socialism."
i don't care at all what the person responsible for this was hoping to accomplish (if anything). and i shake my head at the multitudes that will celebrateit as any sort of meaningful occurence at all.
please. i had more success years ago in high school with my entry for the sober grad night poster that had Tony Danza on it with that confused shoulder shruggoing "Show Alcohol Who's The Boss".

Looking at this objectively, what you just described is a complete graphic design failure. The creator obviously was attempting to draw parallels between twoperceived evils, however they chose the Joker, who is one of the most beloved characters of our generation. They failed to bring the out out the negativeconnotation of a psychopathic mad-man bent on destroying the world. People will see this thing as "the coolest thing they've ever seen" becausepeople like Obama and people like the Joker. Socialism. SMH.
