New Orleans All-Star point guard Chris Paul(notes)will undergo arthroscopic surgery for a cartilage tear in his left kneeon Monday and could miss one to two months, sources close to Paul toldYahoo! Sports on Sunday night.

Paul injured the knee in the final moments of regulation in a loss to the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

Testresults revealed a partial tear to Paul’s meniscus. There is still somedoubt as to the extent of the injury, one source said, but it is notbelieved to be season-ending.

Paul is expected to miss the All-Star Game because of the injury.Once the NBA confirms Paul’s unavailability, commissioner David Sternwill appoint an alternate player to the Western Conference roster.

When Kevin Love plays about 28+ minutes a game, he averages a double-double.

Derrick Rose consistently gets 35+ minutes a game and the last time he posted a double-double was almost 2 months ago [Dec. 8].

Derrick Rose exists, yes. But as far as Sophomores go, Love > Rose.

Love just doesn't get as much hype because he plays in a smaller market + he missed the first month of the season.
